The Crossbow is a powerful range-based weapon that can be obtained when searching an underground bunker that's found in the northwest region of the island. So, if you're looking for its location, this weapon guide details everything you know about the Crossbow in Sons of the Forest including changes introduced as part of the 1.0 update.

How to Find the Crossbow in Sons of the Forest

In order to get the Crossbow, you will first need to obtain the Maintenance A Key. Once you have obtained the Maintenance Key, you'll now have the ability to collect the VIP Keycard, which can be found in the northwest of the island. Inside Maintenance A, you can find a laptop that will mark the location of the Food Bunker on your map. It can be seen as a dark green pulsing circle, with a food icon in the center.

You'll know you're in the right location when you find a cave entrance by two abandoned Golf Carts.

Before heading inside, equip your Flashlight or Torch, along with a weapon. Once inside, follow the path all the way down to the bottom of the cave, where you'll find a hatch marked Food and Dining in the ground.

When climbing down the hatch, you'll find yourself inside an underground bunker. Search the room and you'll discover plenty of food supplies on the shelves and counters, as well as Crossbow bolts from the dead bodies.

Once you've looted the area, use your Carl Planter keycard from Maintenance A to open the locked door in the back corner of the kitchen.

Pass through the first hydroponics room, to reach the second one, where you'll encounter mutant babies.

When entering the second hydroponics room, go to the right side of the room. You'll find a Crossbow next to a body that's found between the shelving at the back of the room -- look for the trail of blood on the ground to discover the body. Before leaving, be sure to collect the Crossbow Bolts that are stuck in the wall by the television and the Energy Mix next to the body.
