- Jessica W10 contributionsThis place is AMAZING! They clearly love and take good care of all the animals. Sadly, many of the animals were pets and not well taken care of, so a lot of the birds cannot fly for example. They have sloths, toucans, ocelots and SO much more. Definitely worth a spot and the entrance fee goes to a more than worthy cause. 100% worth a pit stop! - SeekingClarity38 contributionsGreat place to go hiking! It is a coffee farm on a steep hillside that has opened up trails to the public. You pay your fee to the person sitting at one of the tables near the parking lot, then you can go hike up on the well-marked trails and see all the waterfalls. The final waterfall is absolutely beautiful (watch your footing on the way down). The views are wonderful on the way up and way down (keep an eye out for coral snakes as they love coffee plants—we saw a beautiful one on the way down). The place closes early (maybe by 3 pm?) so don’t plan to arrive in the afternoon. There are also picnic tables for people looking to spend the day (you pay slightly more to hike and picnic versus dong just one). We bought a bag of coffee when we were done hiking and it was fresh and delicious! But this is a huge property that is preserving: old farm and sugar plantation machinery, some farm animals, a small zoo, a forested area and trail, children's playground, Barbecue facilities among others. I'm sure children will like this place. Went on a week day so the place was nearly empty. Lots of food options (eating all outdoor) plus ice cream and drinks. It is a very nice golf course, not to challenging but not so easy which is good for everyone, making your visit worthwhile and enjoyable. On the premises there is a driving range, golf classes and putting green to practice. The golf course is surrounded by ponds and small lakes with a beautiful fauna with ducks, iguanas and many birds that makes the place very special. I booked directly with them as TA was asking me to book for two people minimum. Adriana who manages booking was extremely patient and answered all my questions promptly.
On the day of the tour, I was picked up right on time, our guide was a wonderful Jamaican man whose name I sadly forget. He was basically like a super chill uncle and he also gave me his big spray which I forgot to return. So I owe him a spray next time in CR!

I found the meals reasonably priced in comparison to similar in NYC. The immediate area is commercial retail and service businesses.
I was badly in need of a therapeutic massage after my long flight and found a terrific place in Momentum Lindora called Morphosia Spa, Hair Studio & Nails. Very clean and professional. Well worth my time. 1 hour = $25. Tips are not expected, but gave the woman $5 extra.
