- Just a random observation. I have 4 Missing Persons CD's that feature "Destination Unknown" (probably my favorite song of my entire lifetime), and this Rubellan Remasters release has the longest running time at 3:41. By running time here, I mean, the music is actually playing for 3:41, not including any silence at the end of the actual track. I compared all 4 tracks and it definitely has a longer fadeout than all the others! The others are "The Best Of Missing Persons" (1987) 3:35, Classic Masters (2002) 3:30 and "Spring Session M" (1995) 3:35.
- Received a good condition copy, ran through an ultrasonic cleaner and it sounds quiet, clear, almost new. Good separation. Very happy with this pressing.

I didn't have any big complaints about the first pressing. Agreed that it didn't have the same highs as original copies but it was punchy and sounded good. The new purple pressing improves the highs and sounds more like a complete remaster. I don't know how anyone can complain about too much bass because there's only so much that can be cut into vinyl, and this sounds like a good amount. Why people want a new remaster to sound just like their forty year old copy makes no sense to me, it's supposed to be improved and I hear details in this I've never heard before. Some people are just never happy. - Edited 6 months ago

This pressing/mix is better then the first attempt Rubellan Remasters put out of this album, but unfortunately it still isn’t right. The artwork on the cover is great, and the pressing itself is very good with very little surface noise.
The sound on this one continues to be lacking in the highs and it’s VERY bass heavy - so much so I had to turn down the bass output on my EQ and I haven’t touched that in months. The bass is punchy, but again it’s too much. At times it drops out so it’s a weird listening experience…your sub will definitely get a workout with this one.
The Jacksonville or Japanese pressing continue to be the best out there IMO. - Disappointed. This is my second favorite album of all time and they missed the mark. The pressing is solid in that the soundstage is very quite, but the sound is not clear and sounds like you are listening to cassette. The artwork on the cover is faded/washed out as well. I compared this to my 1982 Jacksonville pressing and my Japanese copy and there is no comparison. Missed a great opportunity to put out something great. :(

Excellent pressing from Japan. Sound quality is great too!
I made a needledrop of one of the tracks from this vinyl record - You can find it on the right side in the videos, under the name: Missing Persons - Walking In L.A. (Spring Session M) (1982 Japanese Vinyl)- Not such a good remaster. The original blows it out of the water. It's as if you tossed a light blanket over the original pressing.
- I just found a very well taken cared of copy of this pressing for $15.00. The vinyl is flat and very quiet and sounds great..the soundstage is big and three-dimensional with life-size imaging and great separation..very punchy and bright..a very fun and exciting listen, I got really lucky with this one
