You'll Never Get to Heaven

Bill Morrissey recorded the songs for You'll Never Get to Heaven in December of 1995 in New Orleans. The album was produced by Scott Billington (who has produced Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Irma Thomas, and others) and Ellen Karas. It was released on April 16, 1996.

Musicians:

Michael Toles: electric and acoustic guitars, Hammond B-3 organ, piano
     (one of the Stax players--has played with everyone from Charlie Rich to great R&B players)
Lee Allen Zeno: electric bass
     (plays with Buckwheat Zydeco)
Johnny Vidacovich: drums
     (one of the top New Orleans drummers;  has played with everyone, including Harry Connick, Jr.,
     and has been subject of the "learn to drum" tapes)
James Singleton: acoustic bass
Bill Samuel: tenor and baritone saxophones
     (has arranged and played on many albums)
Jamil Sharif: tumpet
     (plays mostly with Allen Toussiant and other great New Orleans bands)
Chris Belleau: trombone
     (a doctor who plays in many New Orleans bands in the French Quarter when he is not at the hospital)
Tom Fischer: clarinet
     (plays a regular gig in the Quarter)
Charles Elam III: backing vocal on one song
     (sings with Irma Thomas)
Earl Smith: backing vocal on one song
     (sings with Charles Elam on the one song with backing vocals)
