Choosing UC Riverside for my pre-med education was the best decision I’d ever made, driven by its unparalleled resources and supportive community. Opting for UCR's Honors program over other “prestigious” schools I got into like UC Berkeley and University of Waterloo, I've found a wealth of opportunities here from day one! UCR excels in preparing students for medical school with expert faculty, extensive mentorship, and immediate research opportunities. Undergrads are also guaranteed a spot in UCR’s medical school! The environment here is exceptionally welcoming and highly diverse, fostering both academic and personal growth. Plus, with its membership in the prestigious Association of American Universities and a top 1% global ranking, UCR’s commitment to excellence are unmistakable. Social life is great too! UC Riv is a vibrant + transformative university that propels all its students toward success, making it a top choice for anyone pursuing a rigorous and rewarding academic journey.
UCR stands out as a beacon of diversity, equity, and inclusion, offering a truly enriching academic and social environment. The campus vibrantly celebrates cultural diversity, hosting students and faculty from a myriad of backgrounds, all contributing to a rich tapestry of perspectives and experiences. As a South Asian Highlander, I am part of a South Asian dance team at UCR and I LOVE IT!
Additionally, excellent initiatives and resources specifically designed to support underrepresented groups emphasize UCR's commitment to inclusivity! This, coupled with a curriculum that integrates discussions on social justice and sustainability, not only fosters a deep understanding of global issues but also prepares students to be proactive, informed citizens in a diverse world. For anyone seeking an educational experience that values individuality while promoting collective harmony, UCR offers a nurturing, progressive, and inclusive community, making it an exemplary choice for higher education.

UCR is an exceptional university that exceeded all my expectations. The campus is beautiful, social, and vibrant, with many activities and modern facilities. As a biology major, the academic rigor and quality of education are outstanding! The professors are accessible and genuinely invested in our success, enriching our learning experience immensely!
UCR shines in research opportunities; I've already participated in significant projects that boosted my practical knowledge & prepared me for medical school and my career. The diverse student body at UCR brings enriching cultures & fosters an inclusive environment. The career center provides excellent resources, from workshops to one-on-one counseling, tremendously aiding my job search.
I wholeheartedly recommend UCR for its academic excellence, supportive community, and commitment to student success. My time here has been invaluable for my professional and personal growth. Five stars to UCR for a truly outstanding college experience!
