Had a great time, and a whole lot to look at!
Went with my 6 year old daughter, and had an amazing time. They give kids a scavenger hunt to do to help them explore the museum, and at the end they give them a free gift!

10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a good educational trip for themselves or family.

Enjoyable relatively small national monument, great place to visit for all ages. We visited the day after the eclipse, and I assume it was still busier than usual, because there was a line to get in and the parking lot was crowded. The rangers did a great job keeping the line moving and managing the eclipse crowds (as opposed to most other places in town that seemed ill prepared for the influx of extra tourists). A short, flat walk takes visitors to the dig shelter where excavations are ongoing and various animal skeletons are on display. Don't miss the ranger talks every half hour, the information really helped to make sense of what we were seeing. From what I understand, a herd with many young mammoths and single older mammoth died in this spot hundreds of years apart, but nobody is quite sure why the Waco area was a mammoth death trap for centuries. Well worth the small entrance fee of 6 dollars.

Such an amazing zoo with such a great care for the animals and the city around it. It inspired me when I was young with its Zoo Camp program giving me such a love for animals.

Appeasing the Dr. Pepper lover in our family, we added the museum to our travel list. We arrived after lunch and waited outside in line until we could go in and purchase our tickets for the museum. The museum is 3 floors of various Dr. Pepper history and over all relatively interesting.

Admission included your choice of sodas made old fashioned soda shop style as well as the ability to purchase floats and other soda items. The line took a long time and service could be improved, but the soda shop experience was a lot of fun.

Loved our experience! It’s a short, scenic drive outside of Waco. The wine is great! We did a tour and tasting and learned a lot. The property is beautiful. I would highly recommend.

This was our one last stop as we left Waco and carried on down the road. The sculptures of the cattle and cowboys and drovers are worth the stop alone, pretty amazing in all the detail. Walking out across the bridge gives you a great view of the river and the walkways and riverbank. Not a long stop, but definitely worthwhile.

We drove around this park but didn't get to walk on any trails. It's a beautiful park and we wish we had had more time to spend there. We did climb Jacob's Ladder! It was tough but we made it. Both in our 60's! Make sure to go here if you love the outdoors.

This is a great place for young and older people alike. If you are not thrilled about young kids running around, you may want to skip this, but if you don't mind, it's worth the trip. There is a humpback whale skull that's enormous, a bunch of dinosaur and Cretaceous era fossils, and walk-in dioramas where you feel like you're walking back in time, into the forest, for example, there's also a replica of the Waco Mammoth National Monument. Plan to spend a couple of hours here.

This D1 college football stadium is super beautiful. Overlooking the Brazos River, it is truly a great place to watch a game as the seats throughout the stadium are situated so that you can easily see all the action from anywhere. The people are great! Super fun to be around, and the energy here is electric. Food isn’t too good, but that’s the same for all college football stadiums. You’ll want to sneak your own food in!

We went on a tour with Sherry, which lasted around 1-1/2 hours. This is a beautiful library housing a collection of antiques, personal belongs, furniture, letters, and art work belonging to Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The history is interesting and informative. You could probably visit the library on your own, but, if possible, schedule a docent led tour to get the most out of your visit. Located on the Baylor campus. There is free street parking around the building.

My family visited Baylor last year for a campus tour with my rising senior. We had already toured South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, VT, Tenn and Texas A&M. Baylor was by far the best tour, nicest people, most beautiful campus. They really treat you like family from the time you show up until you leave. He has since been accepted and will be attending this Fall 2024. His academic advisor has been there every time we have a question with an immediate response either via email or text. And he visited the Charlotte area, and we were able to meet him in person. When you think of what a great college experience looks like, it's Baylor. Being private, Christian and conservative were all pluses for my son and his interests. We are delighted and thankful that he chose Baylor and are so excited to see him go, learn, grow, thrive and excel as a Bear this Fall!

The Branding the Brazos Sculpture is life-sized and beautiful. It takes up a lot of room at the beginning or end (depending on where you start) of the pedestrian Suspension bridge in Waco. It is only a short excursion, but well worth seeing.
