Poncho from Predator is a South American politician on business in the United States with his wife; the lovely Shannon Tweed. When an assassination attempt is almost successful; a smart cop recommends the services of security expert, Will Griffith. Will owns and operates Night Eyes; a private security firm specializing in home security. What starts out as a routine surveillance gig, quickly turns into something more erotic, when Ms. Tweed falls for Mr. Griffith. Written, produced, and starring Andrew Stevens as the charming Will Griffith; Night Eyes II is a smooth flowing erotic action thriller that showcases the natural charisma between Shannon Tweed and Andrew Stevens.
Andrew Stevens has charm that can't be taught. He has perfectly combed hair, has…
As many other people have mentioned, this isn't exactly an erotic thriller. It tips its toes into the genre but then focuses on story more than the sleazy aspects. There are still sex scenes and eye candy in the form of Shannon Tweed working out and then working out some more.
I haven't seen the first Night Eyes but I have seen Night Eyes 4 and this is a huge step above the 4th movie. That isn't too surprising considering this movie has a great cast and everyone plays it very seriously. That means there are no Shannon Tweed freakout moments but that is okay if it means the rest of the cast is as involved as they are in this.

Why did no one warn me this movie would rip so hard? In my opinion almost everything was better about this than the first Night Eyes. Better acting, better cinematography, and actually energetic direction. Not sure I would even classify this as an erotic thriller, just a regular thriller.
Andrew Stevens is so much better and more likeable, and I loved that his best friend was played by TIM RUSS! No one warned me about that either! Shannon Tweed doesn't come across as a very confident performer yet but it kinda works her character and I bought the romance between her and Stevens. The only thing I really didn't like was a super tacked on ending. But Night Eyes 2 was so much fun!
This is like An Actual Movie, not just masquerading one or otherwise. Its more thriller than it is erotica too.

Watch a Shannon Tweed movie to celebrate her birthday (2 of 6!)
There's still a lengthy sex scene but this seems more mainstream that just softcore threading.
Surprising amount of big squibs, boxing house duels, a quite brutal interrogation and deaths, and political machinations? Even a cheeky scene where a nerdy man gets hot under the collar due to the power of Tweed Unleashed.
The most softcore-st staple is the opening sex scene, after the Will Griffith action man prologue that felt like a TV show parody; as its Lisa Saxton heavy…
Although he's done it countless times, and will continue to do it countless times, our boy Will can never EVER remember that he, the Beverly Hills expert on security, Mr. Night Eyes, has set up surveillance in his clients house that will UNDOUBTEDLY film him and his client's wife boning. That silly, sensitive sonofabitch.
Andrew Stevens is back, and he's watching Shannon Tweed this time. He's less of a creep this time around. (I think he was a creep in the first one... but it's been a while.) This sequel is less artfully crafted, focusing less on the eye of the camera itself. Instead we get a flimsy plot of political intrigue in the home of a foreign diplomat and his rich, American wife. But sparks fly between the guarded and the guardian, and even if Andrew Stevens is ripped, it's hard to take a love scene with him and an iconic sexbomb seriously. Especially when they're rubbing raspberries on each other.
Still, it's a rather decent sexy thriller specimen.
The home security expert really should know better than to bone his boss's wife in front of the security cameras.
Stevens and Tweed do their thing, the plot is efficiently thrillerish.
Doofus security guard Andrew Stevens returns (although his problematic southern accent does not). This time he’s protecting Shannon Tweed (of course) but the story isn’t nearly as twisty as the first. Better supporting cast this time (Tuvok from Voyager, Poncho from Predator, John O’Hurley from the uh, dog show) but the soundtrack is worse. Ultimately it’s just not as entertaining as the first installment, despite featuring both a gearing up montage AND a shopping montage.
Not dreadful, but a notch below the threequel (it's a word) and below-average for a Shannon Tweed joint. I'll cut it a little slack because I'm thinking that in '91 Shannon hadn't yet developed her powers to the peaks she would reach in films like Scorned or Electra.
The first hour of this movie's like a male buddy/security company drama between Andrew Stevens and Tim Russ, with Tim encouraging Andrew to expand the business. I will say, they had a lot of very cool, very '80s/'90s Sony video equipment.
Dissatisfied wife Shannon Tweed exercises in the background. She married an Hispanic politician who's buying his way to the top, which Shann of course dislikes, and she inevitably lands in the…
The surprise success of NIGHT EYES on VHS video, late night cable television, and syndicated television(in[of course]a heavily edited version) oversaw the time to keep overworked security expert Will Griffith([the film's co-writer and co-producer] Andrew Stevens[TEN TO MIDNIGHT,THE FURY]) even more extremely busy with this decent sequel that has Griffith having a new lust craving partner(Tim Russ[STAR TREK:GENERATIONS,LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD]) as they undertake a new assignment(at the last minute) to protect the wife(Shannon Tweed[OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN{1983},POSSESSED BY THE NIGHT{a.k.a.:DARK OF THE NIGHT}]) of a South American expatriate politician(Richard Chaves[PREDATOR,BAJA RUN]) who is being terrorized by a handful of heavily armed hitmen, with Twee falling for Griffith while he protects her as he endures the wrath of Chaves' sinister bodyguard(Geno Silva[MULHOLLAND DRIVE,A…
Arguably paced better than the original, but eschews noir for more action/thriller tropes. Tim Russ is a welcome addition to the cast.
I knew I'd like this one too as soon as they brought that ugly dog from part 1 back. There're even dog cutaways during at least one sex scene! Aside from that and Sevens's decidedly awkward banter with his black sidekick ("I hate it when you call me homeboy"), this is decidedly less eccentric and much less stylized than part 1. Works quite well as dime-store time-filler pulp, though, and even if the sex is rather muted, Tweed introduces an air of aristocratic yet attainable voluptuousness by way of her sheer presence.
