Best views of Manhattan we have ever seen. Such a cool area. We walked around for a few hours and enjoyed ourselves. Best part was taking pictures of both the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn bridge around sunset.

We felt quite safe, but realize - this place is crowded!

Absolutely the most beautiful stroll. We arrived at about 10 am and there was low cloud cover. By 11:30, the skies cleared and the views were incredible.

Not crowded, just regular folk walking dogs, pushing strollers or just enjoying the view. Plenty of bench seating available. If I could afford a home on this promenade-I would buy it without hesitation!

    Could not recommend higher!

Brooklyn Bridge Park is so beautiful! It connects to the bike and walking path that stretches all the way down the coast of Brooklyn, which is nice. It also has amazing views of the Manhattan Skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge of course. It is a great park just to relax in as well. I highly recommend!

Came For Mothers Day as this is one of my wife’s favorite place to visit. The weather was overcast with a few sprinkles here and there but cleared up as the day went on.

The gardens were very nice but if it were sunnier the flower and all that bloomed would’ve made a much nicer experience.

They have a new gift shop so of we got a few things for our apt and got my daughter a moss covered rock that had googly eyes on it.

I briefly visited this wonderful necropolis on my last trip but wanted to return for a more in depth look.

The cemetery conservancy, which offers tours, had one that detailed the Victorian era's fascination with the concept of death. It coincided with my May trip so I booked a slot for Mother's Day afternoon. Our guide took us on a drizzly wander and explained all of the unusual designs that appeared on some grave markers, and what that symbolism meant.

The grounds were all abloom with spring flowers, which made for even more breathtaking views of the green hillsides.

There are various tours put on throughout the year (October is understandably very popular). Definitely worth a visit, as the cemetery is not only historic (a Revolutionary War battle was fought there) but it's the final resting spot of many famous and infamous folk.

Booking tickets in advance is a must - as they are only open Thursday through Sunday. Note - if you go in the AM, expect a lot of small, loud children.

We really enjoyed learning the history of the current subway system dating back to 1880. What a huge, expensive, forward thinking (and dangerous) endeavor it was. Just Wow!

Loved the lower level with subway cars dating way back. Best part might have been the advertisements on the old subway cars. Cigarettes, alcohol, hair dye et.al.

We came this museum with the single focus of looking at the Paul McCarthy photography exhibit. It was terrific - and we really enjoyed it. After viewing it, we looked at the “in the now, gender and nation in Europe” exhibition. We have an odd sense or humor - and our favorite work of art displayed was a painting displaying long, flowing blond hair - as a symbol of feminism. We nick-named her Chew-Becky.

Price for a single senior admission was $14

We have enjoyed beer from this brewery for years in Nevada, but sadly just a few styles. On this trip to NYC, we made the effort to visit the mothership. Not easy to maneuver via the subway - but we did it!

Hubby loved his flight, while I enjoyed a lovely rose’. Had fun buying merch to take home to Las Vegas.

Our server was Alma - and she was terrific.

Prospect Park is one of the best parks in the city! First off, it is huge and there are plenty of things to see and do there. There is the zoo, the botanical garden, the streams, ponds, and the lake, the lawns, the villa, the many walkways and bikeways, and the many statues and monuments. Overall, Prospect park has it all and it is a great place to do any sort of exercise as well as just to relax on a nice day. I highly recommend!

If you are in Manhattan during December definitely worth a visit. We got the subway over then had a 10 minute walk. The houses were amazing and so many were decorated. So glad we went!
Personally I wouldn't waste money booking a tour. We saw lots of them walking around but we enjoyed doing it at our own pace without being rushed.

Really enjoyed walking around this interesting and attractive part of New York. It focused on art and architecture and the way the area has changed. Good size group for the experience. Very cold but the tour guide kept us moving.
