Resident Evil: Vendetta Plot Synopsis:

The saga of Resident Evil continues in Vendetta, and Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy and Rebecca Chambers must unite to save America from a threat as dire as The Umbrella Corporation: a virus that can be triggered by being simply being inhaled. The biological warfare of Resident Evil rages on, and only Raccoon City's finest can stop it from destroying the world.

Fathom Events, Park Circus, and Sony Pictures are releasing this 3rd Resident Evil film installment in movie theaters on June 19, 2017, for one night only. Takanori Tsujimoto"s Resident Evil: Vendetta (2017) looks very polished judging by the movie trailer. Characters include Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield in a story directly connected to the Resident Evil"s game story. Voice performances by Matthew Mercer, Cristina Valenzuela, and Karen Strassman for Resident Evil: Vendetta.

Press Release: DENVER - March 20, 2017 - Based on the worldwide videogame phenomenon, the CG animated film "RESIDENT EVIL: VENDETTA"will hit movie theaters worldwide this year. The film will be released internationally on May 27, 2017, and in the U.S. and Canada on Monday, June 19 for a special one-night event from Fathom Events, Park Circus and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions.

"RESIDENT EVIL: VENDETTA" is the third installment in the massively popular CG animated film franchise, following "Resident Evil: Degeneration" (2008) and "Resident Evil: Damnation" (2012). Derived from Capcom"s "Resident Evil(TM)," one of the bestselling video game franchises of all time (72 million + copies sold), "RESIDENT EVIL: VENDETTA" features the fan-favorite characters Leon S. Kennedy (Matt Mercer), Chris Redfield (Kevin Dorman) and Rebecca Chambers (Erin Cahill). The film is produced by Marza Animation Planet ("Space Pirate Captain Harlock"), executive produced by Takashi Shimizu ("The Grudge"), written by Makoto Fukami ("Psycho Pass") and directed by Takanori Tsujimoto ("Bushido Man").
