Olaf Geirstad-Alf (830-) was Chief of Heidmark from 860, succeeding Gudrod the Hunter. He also served as Marshal of Viken under his nephew Harald Fairhair.
Biography[]
Olaf Geirstad-Alf was born in 830, the son of Gudrod the Hunter and the half-brother of Halfdan the Black. He became the head of the House of Yngling on his father's death in 860, but he became the vassal of his brother Halfdan as Chief of Heidmark. His nephew Harald Fairhair went on to unify Norway under Yngling rule.
