Undercroft is the work of Martin Priestnall, who has decades of experience in the music industry.
The 107-seat dining room, open from lunch to late night, is located in a vaulted basement space.

The restaurant’s bar offers an eclectic cocktail list in addition to popular classic cocktails. The wines follow a similar style, offering a variety of champagnes and fine wines that “offer decadent pairings to Carter’s cuisine.”

“Holly and I have loved every moment of establishing Carter’s in Birmingham. It’s been so rewarding to watch the restaurant and team go from strength to strength over the years,” says Carter . “We have always been keen to move to London and have been looking for a suitable location to open for years, and the basement of St George’s Church could not have been more perfect.”
Mr Priestnall added: “From the moment we stepped into the basement, we knew there was something special about this space. I’m honored to be in charge. We’re not just a restaurant for diners. Undercroft is for all creators, whether in music, design or food. It will be a stage.”
