Thai stars Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong, popularly known as FreenBecky, who became popular through the GL (girls’ love) drama “GAP: The Series,” were reunited with their Filipino fans.
The two actresses returned to Manila and held their “2024 Fan Meeting in Manila” on April 27 at the New Frontier Theater.
This was the fifth time that FreenBecky visited the Philippines for an event. They had a grand fan meeting in July last year.

“Talk Back with Freen and Beck”
Freen and Becky (ฟรีนเบคกี้) opened the fan meeting by singing “Marry Me” and “Because of You.”
The fan meeting featured several segments. In “Talk Back with Freen and Beck,” the two stars were asked questions.
About their return to the Philippines, Freen said, “What I missed the most are the Filipino fans. Na-miss ko kayo (I missed you).”
Becky said, “Of course, I missed you guys first. But there’s one thing I really, really want to go to. I wanna go to the beaches and go shark diving.”
FreenBecky’s popularity has soared in different countries including the Philippines after starring in “GAP: The Series.”

“Every time we land here. From the airport and along the way, we see posters made by the fans. We want to take a photo of it but we miss out every time,” said Freen.
Becky said, “I would say everywhere we go, we always get a warm welcome. It’s so sweet. It’s like now matter where we go, it’s like…I know you guys spend so much time creating projects and everything from banners to billboards to little gifts. Literally your loud cheers like it’s so fulfilling to our hearts.”
On what can people learn from “GAP: The Series,” Freen said, “I would like fans to adapt the love from Sam and Mon [the two stars’ characters in the drama]. Every time I receive news from the fans like they share their love story. Every time I listen to this, I feel touched.”
“I want everyone to enjoy it and follow Mon and Sam’s love story,” said Becky. “I would say it’s very relatable. With love there is hardship. It’s a long way to get to the stage of marriage. How much you have to push through together, how much you have to understand together.”
According to Freen, “Since everyone only has one life, you can do whatever you want and you can be whatever you want to be.”
“Be proud of who you are. You have the right to love anyone you want to love,” said Becky.
“You Complete Me”
In the “You Complete Me” segment, the two actresses needed to complete sentences.
In the sentence “On a rainy day I would usually ____,” Freen answered “collect the laundry” while Becky said, “play tennis” on the statement, “On a sunny day I would usually ______.”
About the phrase “Becky is always excited about,” Freen answered “milk tea.” To the sentence, “Freen is on her happiest when _____” Becky answered “when she sees her dog.”
On “Freen is not Freen without ____,” Freen answered, “without may fans” while Becky answered “without her family” to the phrase “Becky is not Becky without ____.”
Becky was asked is she considered Freen to be part of her family. She replied, “Freen is like my sister.”
Fan questions
Freen and Becky also answered questions sent by fans.
They were asked, “What is your favorite memory from your friendship?”
“I like the day we don’t work and lie down on the bed or sit on the bed and have a deep talk,” said Freen.
Becky replied, “It’s like on a free day, right? We get to talk about life and everything like that, which we don’t get to do often.”
“What we talk is really a deep talk,” said Freen.
“My favorite moment is like when we have free day and get to go spend the day like go to a cafe or shopping,” according to Becky.
On where they want to go together if they have free time, Freen said Maldives while Becky said cafe.
During the fan meeting, Freen and Becky also designed miniature jeepneys that were given to the fans.

Fan video
A video made by fans was shown at the event that made Freen cry.
“From the people who love you first to the people who choose to love you unconditionally. Language is not a burden for us because love is our universal language,” the message in the video read.
The fans wrote, “If the relationship fails, come Home. If your mental health gets the best of you, come Home. If you mess up, come Home. If you ever feel alone, come Home. In Philippines, you are always home. To infinity and beyond.”
Freen revealed that she was not feeling well during the fan meeting.
“Actually this is the first time that I’m not feeling 100 percent regarding my health. Because I’m not really feeling well. Even though I’m not 100 percent, I tried my best to come and see Filipino fans and to make everyone happy. Thank you for warming my heart with this support. Thank you for coming tonight,” said Freen.

Becky said, “The reason why I call you guys family is because, like you say, we are like home. No matter on a good day or an amazing day, or you have something exciting, or especially when you have a bad day, you can also come back to us. We’ll be your sunshine always. Whenever we fall, we’ll surely step up. It’s okay to go slowly but we’ll keep going as a family.
