Leslie Paul D'costa
(June 30, 1963 - August 18, 2023)

It is with great sadness that Leslie Paul D'costa, a parishioner and an active volunteer at St. Mary's Catholic Church Dubai, left for his heavenly abode on 18th August 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

An ex-employee of National Bank of Fujairah, his memories will be embossed in the hearts of many.  

He is deeply mourned and will be fondly missed  by:

Arsenio Jr Gadger Osias
(February 12, 1961 - January 27, 2023)

Arsenio Jr Gadger Osias was a resident of Dubai since December, 2005. He was single and 61 years old.
 
He joined the Voice in Praise choir in 2007 and later joined our choir i.e. St. Mary’s Parish Choir in 2014 till the last week of January, 2023 when he was admitted in Aster Hospital, Al Mankhool ICU on 16th January, 2023.
 
His diagnosis : type 2 respiratory failure; septic shock with multi-organ failure/kidney failure; metabolic acidosis, acute liver
injury and he had massive cardiac arrest on 27th Jan and succumbed to his illness  at around 11 am.
 
Mass is being offered at St. Mary’s Church, Dubai  on Friday, 3rd Feb 2023 @ 7 pm followed by a condolence gathering in one of the Church rooms allotted by the office this evening.
 
As the relatives want the body to be repatriated to Philippines, further announcement will be made for those interested in attending the farewell embalming service which would presumably be at Muhaisanah Dubai Municipality.

Kenneth Gregory Thomas D'souza
(December 29, 1960 - September 17, 2022)

A ceremony will be held at the Christian Cemetery in Jebel Ali, on Saturday, September 24th, 2022.

There will be a viewing from 3:15 - 4:00 PM to pay respects, followed by a brief prayer service including last rites at 4:00 PM. Following the service, a private cremation will be held.

The Family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement.

Antonio Fortes

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Antonio Fortes (lovingly known as Tony), a former parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church Dubai since 1980, announces his passing at his home in Goa, on 02nd October 2021.

An ex employee of McDermotts International, his memories will be embossed in the hearts of many.

It is with great sadness to inform, Irene A. Cyprian Dcosta, born on 29th June, 1939 in India, left for her heavenly abode on 9th August, 2021 in Dubai, UAE. 

She will be forever in our hearts, thoughts and prayers of:

Lily Xavier
 

Lily Xavier, born on 24 July 1926 in Bangalore, India, Lived in Chennai from 1960 to 2007 and then in Dubai from 2008 until her death. 

She left for her heavenly abode on 3rd May 2021 in Dubai, UAE due to cardiac arrest. Burial was on 5th May, 2021 in Dubai (Jebel Ali Christian Cemetry)

Lily was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubai from 2008 until her death.

She is deeply mourned and will be immensly missed by her son, daughter-in-law, grand children, daughter & family.

 

There will be a 40th Day Memorial Mass for LILY XAVIER on Friday, 11th June, 2021 at  6.30 a.m. in St Mary's Church, Dubai.

John D'Silva
 

John D'Silva, born 2 February 1952 in India, left for his heavenly abode on 26 October 2019 in Dubai, UAE.

John was a faithful and active parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubai and was a committed lector of the parish. He was the loving and dedicated son of Severine D'Silva and the late Jerome D'Silva, husband of Bernadette D'Silva, father of the late Jennifer Rose D'Silva, brother of Regina Shetty, Joseph, James and Joachim D'Silva, Clara D'Souza and Jane D'Souza. 

He will forever be in the hearts, thoughts and prayers of his family and friends.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us as we celebrate his life with a memorial mass that will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai on Saturday, 7 December 2019 at 3pm.

Most beloved Husband of Marilyn; loving Father of Natalie and Nathaniel.

Son of Francisco & Natalia Moreira; Son-in-law of late Vincente Paulo Rodrigues & Ivone da Silva Rodrigues.
Brother/ Brother-in-law of Mackintosh/ Reena; Brother-in-law of Livelyn/ Jeffrey Manuel, Noelyn Rodrigues, Chryslyn/ Shawn Frank; Uncle of Nathan, Nicole, Katherine, Kian & Kyra.

Passed away peacefully on 5th October 2019.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima (Don Bosco, Panjim), on 8th October 2019, 3:30 pm, followed by burial at St. Inez cemetery.

There will be a Holy Mass for the repose of the soul for Mario on Tuesday, 8th October 2019 at 5:00 pm in St. Mary's Church, Dubai

Florinda Correa Born 12 July 1919 in Goa, India, left for her heavenly abode on 29 January 2019 in Houston, Texas, USA.

Florinda was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubai from 1978 to 2010.

She is deeply mourned and will be immensly missed by her children, Robert, Moses, Lily, Juvencia, Mario, Jack and James, grand-children & great grand-children.

Mrs Priscilla Eva Gomes was a parishioner at Saint Mary’s Dubai for a very long time. She passed away in Dubai on 12th September 2018. Her funeral will be on 3pm Tuesday 18th Sep at St Mary’s and burial at Jebel Ali.

Mr. T. Francis

Mr. T. Francis passed away on 24 June 2018 morning at 9am at his home town in Kerala, India. He was an active parishioner of St Mary's and served in the Parish Council and Ushers/Volunteers Sodality for many years.  May his soul to rest in peace and may God give courage and comfort to the family members.

Mrs. Hazel Pinto, former parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, employed with Dubal and Emirates Airlines, wife of James Pinto and mother of Lavinia/Ken Fair, Lavon/Brian Medlock, grandmother of Edison, Sahalie and Emily, sister of: Helena/Joe Vaz, Harriet/Roger Bowles, Lourdes/Francis Pinto, Ronald Barboza and Hycintha/Selwyn Lobo, left for her heavenly abode on 23rd January 2018 in Rasayani, Panvel, Mumbai. Funeral was performed at Christ the King Church, Vishwadeep Nagar Rasayani followed by the final farewell at the Christian Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday 27th January 2018.

Month’s Mind Mass at 6:15 p.m. on 23rd Feb at St. Mary’s Church and 5:30 p.m. at Rasayani.

Mrs. Anne Lobo, formerly a parishioner St. Mary's Parish & EX-PE teacher Our Own English School Dubai, Wife of John Lobo and Mother of Russell, Johnson, Anita (daughter-in-law) and Nataline Noronha (Sister of Anne) who left for her heavenly abode 10th November 2017, Pune, India. Funeral was performed at City Church, Pune, India on 12th November.

Mr. Aloysius Lippert

Aloysius Lippert (born on 3-1-1928 died on 10-10-2017) left his earthly home for his Heavenly abode. While we deeply mourn his departure we are consoled that that he is with his Heavenly Father, in the company of our Blessed Mother and all the angels and saints singing praises and glorifying our Trinitarian God. 

The funeral Mass is at 4pm in St Patricks Church, St Thomas Mount, Chennai 600 016.

Mr. John Z Ferrao

John Z. Ferrao, former parishioner of St.Mary's Church, husband of LORNA FERRAO and father of BIANCA/PRASHANT and BERNSTEN; doting grandfather of CHLOE and LUKE, died peacefully in Goa at Campal Hospital, Panjim of pancreatic cancer, on 10th Sept 2017.

Funeral will take place in Goa at St.Josephs Church, Dramapur on 12th Sept 2017 at 4:00pm
A seventh day Memorial Mass to be held at St.Mary's Church on  Sat 16th Sept 2017 at 7:30pm.
