Alta is overall a decent school. The vast majority of teachers there are very good at what they do and clearly care about their students, their jobs, and the school. The school is beautiful and recently remodeled, and has very nice facilities. The school does have its fair share of issues. Discrimination by students towards minority students, particularly those who are disabled or identify as LGBTQ+, is very common and administration typically seem hesitant to do anything about it. There is also a fairly large wealth disparity among students because of the area it's in. However, on the whole Alta is on par with the other high schools in the area.
Alta High School has all the resources and facilities you need for college readiness. Most teachers, especially teachers for higher level classes care for you and your education. They do their best to help you and it is up to the student to decide to get help. Your counselor at the counseling center knows you personally if you go talk to them and they help you with college applications and choosing classes. They have recently renovated parts of the school itself, so performing arts facilities are one of the best in the area.
Alta high school is a very good high school. They make sure to involve immigrant students and give them the same opportunities as native students even more resources to success at school performance. They offer a translator for students that do not know how to speak English.
