Hawthorne High School Reviews
Rating 3.7 out of 5 96 reviews
Hawthorne High School is a great place to learn. Class sizes are manageable and the teachers really get to know their students. We are a small district and a small town, so no one gets lost in the mix.
Very good school, that makes you feel like home, good environment and kind teachers. Since the moment I got there, they made me feel great
Barely any kids that take AP Classes. Half the students that go do not plan to go to a four year university and place emphasis on trade schools, entering workforce, etc. However not much education on those skills. Strange strong emphasis on stem education (without it being any good) as only about 10% of students are interested. Some great teachers in the building however too many inexperienced underpaid teachers in the school. Most leave after 1-2 years. Teachers have many problems with administration and overall it is a very cliquey small school. The School is currently a mess and rather than trying to take a big step forward, it goes around in a circle not getting anything done.
