Chace Crawford wishes everyone wasn’t so, well, hung up on his manhood.

The 34-year-old actor finally addressed the promotional calendar photo shoot for Amazon’s “The Boys,” which went viral when the internet collectively ogled a prominent crotch bulge in his extra-tight superhero suit.

“I got a lot of weird DMs in my inbox,” Crawford told Entertainment Weekly. “A lot of love, a lot of love!”

The “Gossip Girl” alum also said the groin shot wasn’t an error and is actually tied to a plot in the show, although he promised showrunner and co-creator Eric Kripke he’d keep it a secret.

“There is a story behind that but I’m sworn to secrecy by Eric Kripke,” he added. “I wish I could give you a good answer, but we’ll never know. It will forever remain a mystery. We will never know!”

Crawford, who plays fictional superhero The Deep on the show, was reportedly laughing and groaning during his interview with EW, but hasn’t become too cocky about all the attention he’s getting.

“I thought it was so funny, but I don’t think anyone got a bigger kick out of it than Eric Kripke,” he said. “He thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Oh God. It was probably a little bit over-covered but I was like, ‘Whatever The Deep can do for you guys to get some press, you know I’m ready to support the show!’ That was one I had to explain to a few people.”

In August, Amazon Prime Video sent the calendar to press to promote the new show, which is currently shooting its second season. Crawford said he was told the promotional shoot was actually a calendar, so he grabbed a few props and started doing “amazingly cheesy” and “silly stuff” that he thought his character would do.

“I knew it was going to be ridiculous,” he said, adding he was surprised when the calendar ended up being just him and not the rest of the cast present at the shoot.

“[They] told me, ‘We’re doing calendars.’ I’m thinking, ‘OK, everyone’s got a calendar. That’s great!’ But no. It was just me,” he said. “They showed me one of the months, and I’m like, ‘Cool.’ But then I’m flipping through, and I’m like, ‘Wait … I’m in every one of these. It’s just me. Well … s – – t.’ I died laughing.”

He added: “I was like, ‘OK, no one’s ever going to really see these.’ Little did I know … yeah. Yup.”
