What is in This Collection?[edit | edit source]

This collection is for the 1915 census for the city of Oslo, which, until 1925, was known as Kristiania. The census contains an enumeration of all persons resident in the city on 1 February. Municipal censuses for Oslo were taken in the following years: 1883, 1899-1905, 1907-1910, 1912-1929, 1931-1938, 1940-1943, 1946-1949, 1951-1954.

The census consists of the following parts: Skema 1, Husliste, identifying the street name and house number, a tally of the number of persons living in each apartment on each floor, (Sammendrag av personlisterne for huset), and statistical data (Beboelsesstatistik); Skema 2, Personliste containing details on each individual. The census is arranged alphabetically by street name, then by house number. Additional records and/or images may be added to this collection in the future.
