Samarine is a Water/Metal-type Loomian introduced in Loomian Legacy - Veils of Shadow. It evolves from Sharpod starting at Level 38.

A greatly buffed Corrupt version must be fought as part of the main story on Lotusun Beach. It is at level 40.

Biology

Characteristics

Samarine is a large, shark-like Loomian with elements of a submarine. Its body is mostly grey with its lower jaw being a light blue color. It has wide grey pectoral fins ending with black tips. Both fins have two Sharpod underneath them. It has blue spots along its upper body. It has three teeth sticking it out on either side. It has a grey propeller as a tail to help swim. Samarine has red eyes with a cockpit on its forehead for one passenger. This allows others to use it for underwater expeditions and general underwater travel.

Origin

Samarine is a portmanteau of "Same (鮫)", Japanese for shark, submarine and marine, referring to its appearance and type.

Trivia

• Samarine, Gobbidemic and Makoro are the only non-Roaming Loomians so far to have a Corrupt set encounter.
  • Additionally, Samarine is currently the only fully-evolved Loomian with a Corrupt form that cannot be found in wild encounters.
• Samarine's Alpha Gleaming form may be a reference to the Beatles song "Yellow Submarine."
• The Corrupted Samarine's Health stat in Lotusun Beach was buffed to a flat 500 in battle to make it more difficult to beat. This was confirmed by Llama Train Studio developer Jamiy Jamie.
  • This Loomian also has 150 TPs in both of its Attack stats and 100 TPs in both of its Defense stats alongside having an effective +1 in all of its stats for being a Corrupted Loomian.
