We enjoyed everything we ordered! We'd never been before, so they were kind enough to explain how everything worked - service was very nice and the vibes inside were awesome. Very cute place. For apps, we got the pork belly buns and salt-and-pepper chicken. Both were excellent. For the soup itself, we got the mala rice noodle with beef, and the house special. I found the mala to be VERY spicy, but I have a somewhat low spice tolerance. (Also keep in mind, my husband is half-Japanese, and a lot of times Asian places tend to make things spicier for Asian folks.) Sure enough, my husband enjoyed this a lot. Not too spicy for him at all. The house special was sliiiiightly bland, but a few scoops of complimentary house hot oil perked it right up and gave it a nice flavor. A few reviews here say the soup cools down fast, but we didn't find that to be the case at all. It was HOT and stayed hot even after the ingredients were added! I would return happily! The visit was an experience! For the signature Yun Nan Crossing Bridge Noodle meal, they would bring out this sizzling pot of savory soup, alongside with 12 small dishes of various vegetables or proteins (including a COOKED QUAIL EGG!!) for you to add into the noodle bowl. It was such a fun experience and I was glad to find a place that is staying true to how they do the noodles over in Yunnan Province in China. The crispy salt & pepper chicken is also to die for. The savory breading is packed with white pepper flavor but not too potent, and the chicken thigh meat underneath is as tender and juicy as it gets! Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
