I stopped here for breakfast with a group and chose it in passing as I saw reviews were decent. You do have to sign in, as has been mentioned in previous reviews although the wait wasn't extremely long and there were actually a number of...groups ahead of us. Service overall was friendly and efficient but not overly spectacular. The freshly squeezed orange juice was quite good; it was pleasantly sweet while also tasting refreshing. One notable aspect of the food is that it appears to be low on oil, there was hardly any grease on the plates, even for traditionally oily items such as eggs and potatoes. The breakfast plate was solid, I really enjoyed the eggs as it didn't seem they put as much butter as at other places and I thought the potatoes were very good as well as the bacon. I also got the pink and white scramble which again was great. The white cheddar and eggs mixed harmoniously and again the eggs were light on the palate and the ham uplifted the dish and was not overly salty. The blueberry pancake was delightful, it wasn't as sweet as usually is served and the fresh blueberries really add a delightful tartness to the dish. Pricing was reasonable and with solid service, this hits the mark for a breakfast eatery.More

Ate here with my wife on a Monday morning. Signed in and had to wait maybe all of 30 seconds. Place is tiny but seemed really tight knit. The servers knew many of the patrons by name. I had a great chicken fried steak with...toast, eggs, and a mountain of potatoes. Good food and though small, the place was ran really efficiently. Would definitely return if ever back in Houston.More

We arrived around 8:30 on a Friday and didn't have to wait for a table. A hot pot of delicious coffee was on our table immediately. The orange juice is so fresh, it is literally squeezed right after you order it and in front of...your eyes by a juicing machine! The green eggs are amazing and everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The location in Montrose is off the beaten path but worth finding. The service was fast and friendly. Get their early or you will be in for a wait.More

We put our name on the list, party of 6. Told 30 mins. An hour and a half later and seeing names after ours marked off I went inside to inquire. Scott “the manager” told me we could split up or wait. They had seated...a party of two at a table of 6!! Their names were after ours. I saw two small tables empty and he said he would not let us put them together I asked why not and he said because “I don’t want to do that”. I went outside to see what the group wanted and even they could see how close the two tables already were. We decided to split up as we would wait again anywhere else. Scott then came into the dining area and loudly and In what I thought such a mean voice said “you can move them together, that the restaurant is ours do what we want” It was so embarrassing and made us feel like we were doing something wrong, we were just sitting at the tables. . I think He was horrid.I personally did not want to stay and give them a single penny because the manager was so absolutely rude in my opinion. My daughter was almost in tears.More

This is the original and oldest building of the chain. Very cozy and casual in the heart of Montrose. Great quality food for a good price.

We walk to this neighborhood breakfast place. Go early there is always a line. The green eggs are the best! They make sure your coffee cup is never empty.

This place really knocked my socks off. I had heard about it and driven by many times. Went on a weekday morning and was surprised how full the restaurant was. The food was superb - delicious, thick bacon - nice and crispy, perfect grits, eggs...exactly as ordered; the only shortcoming was the biscuits were a bit sweet - not my favorite but easy to overlook. Good coffee too. Service was prompt, and the price was right. If you want a good breakfast, go to Baby Barnaby's - I know I'll be back!More

A waiter at this cafe misgendered my friend and called her an offensive term. You have the PRIDE symbol on your website and yet this is how your staff treats your patrons? You should be so ashamed. Your staff need to do better. The management...needs to do better. Be better. I will never recommend a place where they encourage hatred.More

I had a delicious brunch. It was a Saturday around 11:00am. There was a 20-30 minute wait. There was cold water and coffee available while you waited. It was a warm day and the cold water was appreciated. I ordered the Migas with Chorizo. It...was a very ample portion with awesome golden potatoes. It was very tasty; just what I was hoping for! The service was excellent; very friendly, and never wanted for anything.More

Great little breakfast spot! The food is very good (they get it right) and service is excellent. The manager is on deck to check in on you, which is a nice touch. Good parking directly across the street. Will be back!

This one is worth the wait, and we waited 40 mins. Small, cozy interior with lots of locals. The waitstaff was attentive and hilarious! The food was incredible and the portions were huge. We will definitely visit the next time we are in Houston.

Friends had recommend This particular location of Barnay's. Was a nasty rainy evening with a warm welcoming place to come in out of the weather. Is extremely casual with all kinds of people and a very interactive wait staff. The buffalo Burger was done just...right and the fresh potato chips were outstanding. Never any rushing to turn the table and was a most warm and welcoming dining experience.More
