AZUSA, Calif. and KEARNEY, Neb.
- Everett Delate broke his 110m hurdles program record for a second straight day, and Kitt Rupar's collegiate best in the discus may have earned her a second NCAA qualification as Colorado School of Mines wrapped up last-chance qualifying at two meets on Saturday.

It was the final day of qualifying for the NCAA Championships, and Mines chased big performances at both the Franson Last Chance at Azusa Pacific in California, and the Loper Twilight at Nebraska-Kearney.

In California, Delate ran a tick lower than his Friday preliminary time of 13.88 in the 110m hurdles, clocking 13.87 to be the top collegian and third overall in the event. That ranks 10th nationally pending other results this weekend, and resets his Mines record for the third time this season. Delate also ran a solid 52.13 400m hurdles later in the afternoon, fourth overall, and will stand pat for NCAA qualification in that event with his 52.07 seed time set at the RMAC Championships which ranks 18th nationally.

Lexye Wood was the only other Oredigger in competition at Azusa Pacific as she warmed up for nationals in the long jump, hitting 5.73m to place 10th overall and fourth among D-II competitors. Wood is currently ranked 10th in D-II in the event with a season best of 6.11m.

At Nebraska-Kearney, Rupar highlighted the day adding a discus personal best to her portfolio that may put her into NCAAs in two events. Already 12th nationally in the hammer but sitting on the outside of the bubble in both the discus and shot put, Rupar threw 47.09m in the discus - the #2 performance in program history - to move up to 18th nationally with the top 20 making the field. In the shot put, she marked a best throw of 13.70m, and ends the regular season ranked 22nd in D-II at a season-best 14.63m.

Grant Redmond went for it in the high jump, clearing 2.01m before passing up two bars and attempting 2.14m before bowing out of the competition. Tim Thompson ran his best raw-time 800m of the season at 1:50.88 to place second among 19 runners, but ends the season with his altitude-converted best of 1:50.50 set at the Kit Mayer Classic.

NCAA Championships selections will be announced Monday afternoon, with the meet beginning May 23 at Emporia State in Kansas.
