Notes
Chill Out is the third studio album by The KLF, released in February 1990.
It is one of the earliest ambient house concept albums, portraying a mythical night-time journey throughout the U.S. Gulf Coast states, beginning in Texas and ending in Louisiana.
The album was conceived as a continuous piece of music, reportedly recorded in a 44-minute live take, with original KLF music interwoven with samples from songs by Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Acker Bilk, Van Halen, 808 State, field recordings of Tuvan throat singers, American, British and Russian radio broadcasts and sound effects taken from Jac Holzman - Authentic Sound Effects Volume 2.
It incorporates elements or melodies from the "Pure Trance" singles 3 A.M. Eternal and Last Train To Trancentral.
A revised version, credited to The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu and titled Come Down Dawn was released on streaming platforms on February 4, 2021 ("the day before Chill Out, but 31 years later") as part of the Samplecity Thru Trancentral reissue series.
Most notably Come Down Dawn is stripped of the most distinctive samples (Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, etc.) and includes excerpts from What Time Is Love?

- Pretty sure it’s a recording of the CD as you can hear track spaces in a couple of tracks. Sounds great though
No barcode on my copy & the etchings are machine stamped, not hand etched. Otherwise this is the closest listing to the copy in my hands.
20 years I have enjoyed this, & having owned the original pressing (1990 UK), I can tell you this one (or the one I have!) sounds SUPERB. No gaps. Great sonics & panning etc. Lovely loud clean recording no vinyl rip.
I don't care if its official or not, its my treasured copy.referencing Chill Out (LP, Album) JAMS LP5
The throat singing is a little weird in my opinion, but this album is great. Reminds me of car trips I take with my brother - often in the dead of night, plus the fact we have different musical tastes (him being the Elvis and seeing myself in the techno ~30 min in, my favorite parts actually). We'll put this on our "8 hour drive to the beach" playlist this Summer.- My copy of this release is perfect. Clear as a bell. I still have the original CD as well, and they are comparable. Very pleased to have this copy in my collection.
- Arrived unsealed that by all accounts is the way distributors received them. It’s not clear- more like a milky aesthetic. I have a few black spots but not lumps or bumps. After a few plays and a good wet clean it’s silent. How can a bootleg sound this good when Lana Del Rey’s records sound like a crackling fire. Bonkers. I’m stoked to have this record after years of hunting. It sounds great and I like to think it’s an official release.
- Wow. This sounds incredible. My copy is almost completely noise free and unbelievably dynamic. So happy to find a copy that sounds this good and the clear vinyl looks awesome.

sounds great ! ! ! . . . . . .- Santa just brought me this. A lovely pressing. Great quality sound. Very happy to have this in my collection.
- Sounds okay, but was not expecting much with an electronic album bootleg. Worth owning for the fans but not for the audiophile
