Gauri posted a picture and a video of Suhana from the event, praising her daughter’s confidence for handling her first solo public appearance flawlessly. Gauri fondly recalled her own initial public event experience when she accompanied her husband and actor Shah Rukh Khan, for a book launch. She captioned the post, “The first event I ever attended with @iamsrk was a book launch… and now watching @suhanakhan2 speak at another such event has made me feel like life has come full circle! Congratulations ❤️ @koel.purie.”

Talking about how she relates to one of the character’s of the book, Suhana said at the event, “I have studied in the UK and New York and I feel like it was the people and the friendships that I made that made it home rather than the place.” When asked if she has her own immigrant story, Suhana said, “I wouldn’t call myself an immigrant and all. I went there to study. I left home when I was 15 for boarding school, so I think that was scary because it was definitely a culture shock and I think it took me a while to feel at home and when I did it was because of the people there and how their friendship, their love made me feel seen when I felt invisible.”

Earlier, a viral video captured Suhana’s humble gesture of giving Rs 1000 to a woman asking for money post the book launch event. Suhana was approached by the woman when she was walking out of the event’s venue with her mother. The starkid’s kind gesture earned her accolades from many fans on social media.
