X Company Season 3: The Final Chapter

Posted on Sep 1, 2016

Incoming message, X Campers.

After three remarkable years, Season 3 of X Company will be its last, as executive producers Stephanie Morgenstern and Mark Ellis drive the story to its intended finish.

You may not know that the X Company saga began a number of years ago, originally as an award-winning short film, co-written by the pair and directed by Morgenstern. It ran just under twenty minutes long, and the two starred opposite each other as Alfred and Aurora.

“It’s been fifteen years since we first wrote Remembrance,” say Ellis and Morgenstern, who will co-write the final episode. “It began as a small, intimate story about one night in the life of an unusual young man, and since then has taken on a whole new life as X Company. It’s really satisfying for us to be able to bring this series to its natural and thrilling conclusion.”

Sinclair (Hugh Dillon) and Franz Faber (Torben Liebrecht) will need to find out if they can trust each other in Season 3.

And fittingly, Morgenstern will be making her television directorial debut as she takes on the climactic final two episodes of the season.

The story will continue where we left off, with tensions soaring to an all-time high as the team races to deliver a blow that they hope will alter the course of the war.

We’ll also see the unfolding of Faber’s journey as a double agent, the fallout from Tom’s death at Dieppe, and Aurora will be forced to walk a thin line as she moves ever closer into the center of Nazi power. All that and more in the final and most gripping chapter of this story, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

A huge thanks goes out to all of our fans, and for everyone involved with X Company, it’s been a real honour to bring this incredible piece of Canadian history to life.
