WANT: More #Clois Than We Can Handle
The one thing on which (most) Superman & Lois fans seem to agree is that the show is at its best when Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch’s chemistry is allowed to shine. It’s what instantly hooked us back in Season 1, and their shared screen time was the silver lining of Lois’ devastating cancer storyline in Season 3. Now that Lois is healthy again, and so many of the show’s supporting characters will be M.I.A., the stage is set for a Lois and Clark-centric final season — all the better that they’ll get to team up against Lex Luthor, their one mutual arch nemesis.
Regarding Jonathan, I’d really like to see him explore his sexuality, seeing as how in the comics he has a boyfriend (even though he’s also Superboy in the comics). I’d also really like a nod to the Arrowverse too.
While I’m not opposed to the concept, I don’t know if they have enough episodes left to do it justice. It would be a total pivot for the character, since they haven’t really set it up at all so far.
Superman and Lois should have been a Metropolis show, occasionally showing smallville, the story should have been about SUPERMAN AND LOIS not “superman and the metal armour guy” .

I kind of like that they had Lois take a step back from reporting and try to balance work and parenting, rather than being 100% career-driven, like most iterations of the character. It’s sort of the defining quality of the series.

Yeah I would hope they do show us the conclusion of the fight. Even if it’s only for like 4 minutes or something before time jumps.
Yes to an Arrowverse connection! If they’re so insistent on still using the Arrowverse assets that are the casting choices of Tyler Hoechlin as Kal-El/Clark Kent Superman and Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane, then they are beholden to that Canon and Continuity! Disjoining it from the rest of the Arrowverse was the worst decision they could’ve ever made.
Not really. Setting S&L in a different continuity away from the Arrowverse was for the best. They had a balanced tone and made Superman powerful like he should be. Plus the Arrowverse shows like Supergirl and Legends declined in quality.
If the plan all along for Superman & Lois to be set in a different Continuity and Canon then why not take that to its full logical conclusion and done a fresh new show with a new actor playing Superman and Lois Lane like they did with Dylan Walsh’s Sam Lane and not piggyback on anything from the Arrowverse at all?
Sorry but the argument falls flat on it’s face by including Tyler Hoechlin, Bitsie Tulloch, David Ramsey, and Jenna Dewan as their respective characters who were originally cast in their respective Arrowverse Shows. and are therefore Arrowverse assets that this show is Creatively profiting from.
Id much rather see a mini crossover with the other av shows than just a reference but thats just me.
Also I just hope to see tal and all the criminal prisoners locked up like leslie larr and bizzaro jonathan to get updates on them. And maybe I wouldnt mind seeing bruno again.
Personally I think they are going to keep doomsday on the entire season but he will be able to shift back and forth between dd and bizzaro cause I dont know if they can keep dd on a whole season, idk if they have the budget but if they do I’d love to see him as a regular.
Everything you suggest sounds awesome, but also EXPENSIVE.
I’m sad to say it’s likely we’ll be seeing fewer splashy guest stars and fewer elaborate CG creations, as opposed to more. We’ll be lucky to get appearances from the former cast of THIS show, much less the stars of previous shows.
True but they have the chance to show some progress with the caged up bad guys to see if they changed their ways cause compare to supergirl it didnt do a good job showcasing that, they can improve here.
Yeah I have confirmed to myself doomsday is probably the last new cgi being we will see, I dont think kaliback, darkseid, some others will show up, Ive made my peace with that.
The cut cast members are looking for other work. When the strike is over, filming of new and current shows will resume.

Johnathan deserves more of a story line. But I am begging please let his kryptonian powers emerge. 3 Supers vs Lex Luthor that would be awesome.
I’m torn on whether that would be a good choice.
On the one hand, it would be awesome, and Jonathan totally deserves it.
On the other hand, it would undermine the message they’ve worked so hard to sell, that you don’t need powers to have value as a person.

I agree with all but the Arrowverse one of the best things about the show was it was self contained.
Would be cool if Jonathan gets powers as well.
I’d like to see Melissa Benoist – and only her -reprising her role of Supergirl before the end. I mean, we met this version of Clark/Kal El in s2 of Supergirl so, it will be logical and even welcome to see her in Lois and Superman, what we didn’t got yet. I’m fed up to see other characters like Alex, Dreamer and Brainy being recruted instead just because they were favorites in Supergirl aside the main actress was unavailable (or because Benoist is too expensive for a couple episodes…. ).
Supergirl doesn’t exist in this universe. That would a huge twist to introduce her in the last second of the last episode. Like Melissa Benoist as this universe Supergirl arrives on Earth « I am here to protect baby Kal El » and see there is no baby to protect. this is not the end I want to see for this show but if there had been a season 5 that would have been one hell of a cliffhanger!
Love this show and can’t wait for more Tyler & Bitsie. Would like some lighthearted moments within the chaos that I’m sure battling against Luthor is going to bring. With only 10 episodes I want the Kent family as a fully united front, also some classic Clark Kent moments as Tyler shines as that awkward, goofy Clark.
Jonathan getting a good, major storyline is a NEED. And hopefully he finally gets his powers this season and finally gets to deal with his fractured relationship with his father.
But I can’t pretend to care about Jordan in any way and he doesn’t deserve the S. He’s now officially the worst character now that the other supporting characters are gone.
It will be difficult without Kyle but I really liked the firefighter thing for Jonathan and I wish it had been given more meaningful time than basically being an excuse to show Kyle’s part conflict with Kyle/Lana/Chrissy and Kyle knowing about Jordan.
I think the compare-and-contrast with Jonathan as a firey (often a career called a ‘real life superhero’) and Clark and Jordan as Kryptonians was really interesting and it actually brought Jonathan more into the fold instead of him just being jealous of Jordan for having powers all the time – plus it means they can all be at a scene together with reasons to be there – Lois reporting live, Superman and Superboy doing super stuff, and Jonathan being a first responder (and in the US fireys are really jack of all trades with what comes in their PD – EMT, actual fire, rescue, disaster response etc. so genuinely the closest thing to ‘Hi, I’m Superman, do you have any natural disasters today? No? Car accidents? No? Buildings falling down, runaway trains, technologically advanced billionaires being bored? Really? Nothing? I’ll just get that cat down for you, do you need anything off the top shelf while I’m here?)
I’d like to see Superman finally get that dirty outfit washed so it looks bright and clean. The outfit just plain looks like it’s covered dirt.
I would really love an appearance by Kara. An acknowledgement that Crisis put them on different earths but they’re still related and in communication or something.
It would be nice to see a television program lasting more than 4months. From now on I’ll wait to see how long the program will last, before I watch it.
Don’t make it a final season do a couple more years se how Jordan comes out.
OR, Jonathan could just be a “Late Bloomer” whose powers were delayed by his experiments with the Yellow Kryptonite from the Mine.
Would absolutely LOVE an appearance by Supergirl.
More of Lex Luther. Less of Lana Lang. More of Superman’s sons. Less of Lois. Less family sagas, more of Superman. Again, More of Superman and awkward Clark..that’s why we’re here. We love Superman. Our hero since it was black and white. Bring Kalel’s parent’s around more often. Love the show. Please don’t go.
