Douglass High School Reviews
Rating 3.69 out of 5 159 reviews
This school from what I have experienced has corrupt, garbage faculty administration and staff. As a student who went there whenever I needed something they always let me down. If I needed something I would have to go through the state to get it instead of the school. When it was time to get my diploma and chord they did not have it on separate occasions. They explained to me that they ripped my diploma because they thought "they didn't need it." It made no sense that they would rip it because it was diploma distribution day for those who didn't walk in graduation... So why was mine destroyed before the day to come and pick them up was over. The only thing I can praise the school for is their amazing teachers. Other then that I would not recommend anyone to send their child to this school because there is a chance that they won't have their stuff in order.
My overall experience at Douglass High School has been an adventure. I’ve learnt a lot of new life skills. Such as self reflection, discipline, consistency, and being self aware. The Athletics department has taught me what hard work feels like and if you want something you have to work your way to it. Douglass has taught me life isn’t suppose to easy and the challenges you Face is the reason you are still going in life. I’ve experienced a development of my character and diversity with the people around me and way to handle it in complicated situations. Overall Douglass has been one of my many challenges but helpful experiences and they have prepared me and helped me learn to handle myself and my emotions in difficult situations and circumstances.
My overall experiences at Frederick Douglass High school was not the best but not the worst. Due to lack of communication skills in the community it’s was less fundamentals followed or applied. I disliked when teacher weren’t available to teach or held accountable. I loved their activities and clubs that was very organized and suitable for many others
