I should have read the fine print about Motel 6 pet policy - cash $60 deposit for 2 dogs. The staff person did not know the area, so could not direct me to an ATM. Otherwise a basic Motel 6 experience. No frills. Clean. A little worn. Quiet.

Dear Guest, Thanks for sharing your feedback on your Motel 6 experience. It's great to hear that the room was clean and quiet, even if a bit worn. However, it's unfortunate that you weren't aware of the pet policy and had trouble with the deposit. Hopefully, next time you stay at a hotel, you'll be able to find an ATM more easily or check for pet policies beforehand.

Typical motel 6 in an older building. Rooms are clean with no amenities inclusive of no-in room coffee. Cars park by rooms so it can be noisy in morning. Had room with two beds and the room was in good shape. Cost was $100 so for no frills value this was a good one night deal. The service at checking as excellant.

Room was nice and updated but guests up above were so rude and in considerate. Walking all night long, smoking pot thru out all hours of the days. Showers were so loud you can hear them from 3 doors down. Maids were very inconsiderate also. She was cleaning next door and slamming the door back and forth to the wall as she was sweeping and mopping. You can tell that they stereotype their guests as to where they put them. One side had all workers, middle had 1 night stayers and the 3rd side had all the ones who were staying the week and drug dealers. I definetly won't be staying here again or even recommending it to anyone.

Had a reservation through motel6.com I arrived to check-in at 3pm (time of check-in, per website). Due to COVID checking in at night window. Handed my ID and Venmo debit card. Guy at desk told me there was a $40 deposit on top of the fee and taxes I secured on reservation. WHAT? WHY? I was paying with a card and had ID. I am essential worker (live animal transport-under California law). I had just finished deliveries and was exhausted. Told to cancel reservation and left the property. There is absolutely no excuse for the additional hold on my card.

I forgot my pillow in the room, on the bed, where pillows go. Unfortunately, the pillowcase was green-striped, about the color of the wall and bedspread, so it blended in and did not catch my eye when we left the room. I called the next day and was asked to call back to speak with housekeeping. I called back as instructed, was not allowed to speak to housekeeping and was told they don't have my pillow. The question is: Where is my pillow? Did they throw it away, did someone take it home, or did a different pillowcase get put on it and put back on the bed. I just want my pillow, can someone please help me with this.

Warning! This Motel 6 charges a $60 CASH deposit, so you can't dispute it as you can with a credit card. They wanted to charge us $20 for a "stained" towel that wasn't stained in any way and could be cleaned just fine with a regular washing. $20 was also far more than the cost of the towel! Most Motel 6 hotels will charge your credit card for damage, which is the honest way to do it. This is just a way to scam more money out of guests! We will not be returning, even though the manager did finally give us the $20--only after I protested that there was no good reason for the charge.

Don't waste your time here! Wife and I came here from driving 14 hours away. We went to the forest. Figured we would stay the night and get to our destination later next day. I wish we would of kept driving to get to San Diego. The bed totally sucked! Slept only 4 hours and my back hurt so bad I could hardly walk for 2 hours. If you like sleeping on a rock I might be ok but I don't! NO coffee for the morning in the room and front desk opens at 6 well after we couldn't sleep we left at 4am. Only thing good about the room it has a fridge and microwave and a TV. Pillows stunk as well. Top blanket had a rip in it about 12 inches long. Old decor green curtains. I will never stay here again!

My business associates and I made reservations months in advance at this Days Inn to attend the Ag Expo in Tulare. I made the reservations through Days Inns own web-site and kept a copy for my travel. Upon our arrival on Feb 10th 04 we're told by the manager, Jesse Carrol, that there were no rooms. I told her I had made reservations through her own web site and miraculously our reservations appeared. Now the argument ensued about my reservation price of $63.75 per room and her demanding that her rates are $125.00 per room! Again I needed to remind her of the sign behind her desk saying Days Inn and it was through her own web-site that the reservations were made. Once we established that, we were told only smoking rooms were available and they were not cleaned yet. Again I referred to our reservations with copy and confirmation number in hand saying "non-smoking rooms". This was to no avail and we had to take the smoking room or no room. We were to attend the Ag Expo and it was too late to go elsewhere. We put our luggage into the uncleaned rooms and left for the Expo. We didn't return until after dark and noticed the rooms were very dirty and foul smelling from smoke and who knows what else. I pulled the sheets back and went to bed trying to get some sleep for tomorrows business. As I turned continually during the night due to smells and traffic (next to hiway 198) the strong smell of stale urine would dominate from the back of the room. It was not until I had turned several times in the dark that I realized it was coming from the pillow sticking out the pillow case under my nose!!! This pillow was disposed of and sleep was impossible so I got up and got ready for the Expo. I went to the same manager and demanded my non-smoking room as that the room she switched us to was not fit for people to stay. She moved both our rooms to non-smoking which miraculously became available. It should be noted the excuse for some of these conditions was "we're remodeling". We moved our luggage to the closets in these unmade rooms and left for the Expo. We returned later that night and our rooms were made up. Our non-smoking room had cigarette burns in the bedspread along with a large brown stain on the underside. The room smelled better but unacceptable to any traveler staying at a name brand hotel. The next morning I went to check out and was told I would have to pay full price for the first nights stay as it was not there regular price of $125.00. Once again I had to remind her of her web prices that to this moment are still priced at the $63.75 I reserved them for. I demanded that night be removed from my bill. She called the "new owner" on the phone. Now I was told it didn't bother me enough to leave so I would have top pay full price! I told them that was rediculous thinking and those rooms weren't up to Days Inn standards. Then I was presented with a form saying they would take $19.12 from my bill if accepted no further discounts. I refused to sign this form and had the bill removed from my credit card and paid in cash. I didn't want this Days Inn to have any billing permission on my credit card as their business ethics are highly questionable.Bottom line here is if you want to be subject to bait and switch tactics along with filthy conditions this is your place to stay!R. These people are very rude and not accommodating to their word.
Made a reservation for friday september 5th but would arrive late in the night. Long story short, my reservation was somehow canceled. After a long and delayed drive. We finally arrived. Luckily they still had rooms available so I accepted it and took two rooms. The check in clerk was very nice , she stated that since my initial reservation was canceled she would start a new one and would be okay to stay till sunday. I thought great. I just needed the day to sleep anyway because I had already had reservations set for that night somewhere else. I finally got to lay down after climing the stairs with all our stuff and disabled father I get a call from the so called manager stating we had to "check out" at 11am but they would give us till 12. Wow! Mind you I got in at 630am layed down at 8am with no sleep. I ignored her due to the fact she was wrong. I would take care of it later. So I slept a little and had to be somewhere at noon anyway. We got dressed and left. Well, lets just say when I got back a few hours later they didn't have my room!! I went to the front desk to talk to the manager and she went out of town. Surprised, I didnt belive the girl. Told her to call the manager because I wanted my rooms! She stated she didnt have any rooms for me and that I checked out. I DID NOT CHECK OUT! I asked for a refund and she stated she couldnt do that. . So after waiting and arguing with her she finally got ahold of the manager and she DENIED MY REFUND OR PRORATE for the little few hours I got for $163!! I called corporate office and filed a complaint and they told me there was nothing they could do about it besides puting my complaint to the internal department. and that it was up to the discretion of the owner because it was privately owned and they couldn't do anything about it. I recently received a letter from corporate office directing my complaint back to the motel 6.. so I called repeatedly to speak to the manager personally, and still have not received a call or refund anything.. I will never stay at any motel 6 again!

I had a reservation for a week's stay here. The clerk told me that my non-smoking room was on the nice and quiet side. NOT!!!

Not sure but no one could tell me why a smoking room was next door to my non-smoking room. The constant smell of cigarette smoke was in the air and in my room.

I couldn't dial out the first night and when I called the hotel clerk, he informed me that the manager wasn't around so he didn't know why my phone wasn't working. The next day, they told me it was because it wasn't turned on when I had checked in. They proceeded to say they didn't know why the clerk told me that considering the fact that he was the owner's son.

There were a myriad of characters who hung outside of the rooms with loud music blaring out of their trucks, arguing, whistling, slamming doors. This went on in the early morning, in the middle of the afternoon, and late at night. Not to mention the constant traffic noise from the highway.

I awoke to some loud banging and discovered that some men were taking out all of the furniture in the neighboring rooms. I guess they decided it was time to "remodel". This constant banging and removing of furniture went on well into the late night.

The daily rate was $49 which is way too much to ask for this place. Anytime a neighboring Super 8 Motel looks cleaner and nicer is a big red flag.

Roaches were a great addition to my stay. If this sounds like a fun place for you, then by all means stay at the Days Inn Visalia.

We had a little trouble, too. Made the circle maybe twice. It is right on the feeder/frontage road even though it is not called a feeder. South side, I think. Don't remember the street names, but the exit is the same one that Applebee's restaurant is on except Applebee's is on the other side of the freeway. There is a Walgreen's at that exit only a little further south. Sorry I can't be more precise. Hope this helps. Enjoy!
