On May 9 at 13.00 in Victory Park in Tver the Orthodox youth festival of historical modeling “Spear of St. George.”
Thus, military rituals will be held dedicated to the heavenly patron St. George the Victorious and the Day of Military Glory of Russia – the victory of Russian soldiers of the Holy Blessed. Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky over the German knights on Lake Peipus (Battle of the Ice). The Orthodox youth festival “Spear of St. George” is part of a general program for the patriotic education of youth, developed by a group of Orthodox youth organizations. The festival is taking place for the tenth time. A distinctive feature of this program is the direct immersion of participants in the Russian ethnocultural environment. In addition to military performances, guests and participants of the festival will enjoy programs of folklore groups, master classes on traditional crafts, shopping arcades, etc.
In a programme:
— Historical all-around (for boys and girls from 14 to 21 years old inclusive)
— playground “Dear Deed” (for children from 6 to 13 years old inclusive)
— Fair (folk games and entertainment, folk songs, master classes for everyone)
