This is a collection of museums that you can go and visit with 1 ticket.
The Dr Seuss Sculpture Museum is in the courtyard around the other buildings, it is of his famous characters, and they were done by his stepdaughter.
It is easiest to start at the planetarium and science museum because that is where you have to pay or pick up your ticket. The exhibits are a nice walk through of dinosaurs, Africa, Native American culture, space and an exhibit on New England animals.
The George Walter Vincent Smith Museum has a collection of Asian antiques and Middle eastern carpets. I like the samurai armor and various swords and weapons. They also have a plaster cast hall which has replicas of many famous sculptures in other museums like the Vatican Museum or the Louvre.
The Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum is mainly European Art which had a couple exhibits by current artists on the first floor.
The Springfield History Museum tells of the story of the city and has various exhibits on residents and businesses. They have Dr Seuss car here with a Grinch license Plate
The Dr Seuss Museum is obviously geared towards children with all his favorite characters in rooms based on their stories. On the second floor they do have a lot of exhibits about his life, some correspondence and awards that he won.
None of museums really blew me away but they all had some things that were interesting to me and it was a good way to spend a few hours.

What a delightful treat this place is. All the joy of reading the books as a kid and then to my kids as a parent, instantly flowed back into me. It not only filled us with joy, I also found it very interesting learning about Dr. Seuss the man, the legend.

What we didn't realise before visiting is that the Dr. Seuss Museum is a port of a complex of attractions. The Springfield Museums include the Science Museum, The Springfield Firsts Museum, The Springfield Art Museum, and The Dr. Seuss Museum and Sculpture Garden. You get to see all of these for the one admission.

The Art Museum was a rellly nice surprise. There are some very very nice pieces, and I found myself spending way more time there than I ever thought I would.

Anyway, just go! It's great value for 4 attractions, and the Dr. Seuss Museum will make you happy.

The Basketball Hall of Fame is terrific, especially for anyone who has followed professional or college basketball over the decades. Lots of well presented information even if you don't pay to get the full experience (we were fine with what was free.)

The basketball hall of fame doesn’t look like more than a mall in any town USA but it was surprisingly easy to move in, and the court is a great touch for fans to feel the sport.
The HOF is fresh and interactive but I wish the inductees had a physical presence there like Cooperstown’s plaques and Canton’s busts.
They have their place but in digital form, which is fine but I still wish there were more.
The gift shop was nice but overpriced and didn’t have a lot of items for teams and inductees.
    Worth the trip

This is a beautiful park! We were so impressed we have to go back even though it's 1.5 hours away. The lay out is wonderful, lots of private areas to picnic. Want to go back and walk the trails.

This was great fun, along with the sculpture memorial garden. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. The entry fee is for 5 museums, but absolutely worth it. We did not children with us and still had a great time. Car parking is free. Unfortunately the cafe was closed, and there did not seem to be another nearby. We were advised to use the coffee shop (The Roasted Bean) in the local casino, which was pretty good.

Don't look for a big sign to know you arrived at the right place. This little "museum" is inside a place called Henry's Jewelry. There is a small sign in the window that lets you know you found the Titanic Historical Society. A nice woman showed us to the back room where all sorts of memorabilia and other things regarding the Titanic and its sister ships. The room is split into two areas and is packed with tons of things to look at and read. There are Titanic books and souvenirs for sale. The woman behind the counter shared several stories about the Titanic and was very informative, pointing out interesting things and anything she thought we might have missed. It was worth the small price of admission. The actual store was strange, containing very old greeting cards and old jewelry that seemed to have been there for decades.

We enjoyed a quality concert with the Springfield Symphony. Excellent acoustics in a fine hall . I recommend rush tickets for seniors and youth if eligible. Very good value in any case.

The parking is to the right and then you have to walk. We just drove by to see it but it was chilly so we didn’t stop.
