Adopt - Feral Cat Rescue & Youth Sanctuary

According to the official blog of the Bard Center for environmental policy, exact estimates vary, but various sources report that there are between 50 and 70 million feral cats in the United States. We believe that number to be much higher.

Why it Matters
for Cats

Feral cats have often seen or been victim to the worst humanity can bring, an all too familiar concept. Our goal is to give cats in need of a little more time, patience, care and understanding, a second chance at living a full and healthy life. Most often, a simple space to trust again is all that’s needed. Often, the rehabilitated feral becomes the most loyal companion. It’s no secret everyone loves cats; it’s also no secret that every cat is not equally treated. Here at the program, both feral and youth have an opportunity to eat and grow together while also opening a door to the truest form of companionship.

Feral Adoptions are
ALWAYS Free!

Each feral cat adoption is specific to that individual cat. Some cats may not be neutered or spayed and many do not have documented medical histories. Keep in mind, these rejected and abandoned cats are much like the youth we work with, they long for a home with unconditional love. We have lots of resources and experiences to share with you before adopting to ensure a smooth and successful transition for both you and your new partner. Ask about our resources!

Changed Lives

Zeus

“I was by no means looking for a 2nd cat, however, the universe had other plans. Upon seeing the flyer with Zeus’s picture on it, I couldn’t just pass it by without meeting him. I fell head over heels when I was introduced to his sweet face. The start was rocky for about a week, at least as far as Zeus and my other cat, Thor, was concerned. Thor simply wanted to play but Zeus was still fighting an upper respiratory infection. Once they became accustomed to each other, though, they became best buds. Zeus is a lover boy who literally follows me everywhere. He is always near me and wanting love. He cleans Thor and they wrestle and they love watching the birds. He is a joy to have around… even when underfoot.  He has the calmest demeanor and I am so grateful for him and his snuggles. Take a chance with a feral cat – you will be amazed at how much unconditional love they have to give!”

Grayson

“Grayson is a joy! He is very loving and funny. A long haired blue Russian, he loves to be brushed. It took two days for him to get oriented to his new home. He gets along well with my other male cat named Oreo (black & white) and my miniature poodle named Barney”.

Mr. Buster

Mr. Buster, an alley cat, came to live with us on Halloween of 2021. He was very tired, had serious health issues and would have certainly died if we had not intervened. We have two dogs however, Buster has become an inside cat and king of the house! He is more active now (12 years old) with lots of energy! He is very loyal and protective of me. He often is mischievous with our dogs in a playful way. We love Buster, he is part of our family now.”
