$300.00 Per Person Black Butte is located on the way up Mt. Shasta. Have you ever thought about hiking up a Plug Dome Volcano? Now's your chance! This is a moderately steep 5 mile roundtrip. The remnants of a fire lookout is located at the top. Learn more on the historical and challenging hike! 15 minute drive from Mt. Shasta. This hike is offered on weekends or schedule a private hike. Offered during the late spring summer and fall months. Caldwell Lakes is located in the Klamath Mountain Range, part of the Parks Creek Drainage. This hike is a nice moderate jaunt with incredible views of Mt. Shasta. We will be visiting two lakes and learning about the different wildflowers, trees and wildlife. A little over 4 miles, this hike makes for a great family hike! 30 minute drive from Mt. Shasta. This hike is offered on weekends or schedule a private hike. Offered during the summer and fall months. 8 Hour Hike $500.00 per person Deadfall Lakes & Mt. Eddy This hike is a jewel of our area with lakes, wildflowers and rare tree species. Whether you feel like a swim at a lake or hike to the top of Mt. Eddy, this is a very spectacular hike! 10 miles roundtrip. Easy to moderately steep. Hiking time 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m. 45 minute drive from Mt. Shasta. This hike will be offered 3 Saturdays in July and the first Sunday in August. |

In our 70s and short on time to research, this last July we turned to Robin to lead us and our eight grandchildren (ages 6 to 17) on a day hike and to fill us in on local lore, natural history, and adventure stories. She did not disappoint! The hike was one we could have done on our own, but with Robins rich store of information and stories, it became a memorable experience. (Ask her to tell her bear story!) She was great with the kids and I marveled at her ability to keep us all on track without having to crack a whip.
