This is the smelliest gym I have ever…

This is the smelliest gym I have ever been to. The ventilation is so poor. The actual gym itself smells gross and I have to block my nose when going past the toilets. Really really unpleasant, especially for £40/month

Air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Thanks, PureGym

Unclear Cancellation Process.

Unclear Cancellation Process.
I'd like to cancel my membership but the website takes you through a loop so that you never get to the cancellation instructions. Highly disappointed with this process. I've been a member for a number of years. I've emailed the member services and I expect this resolved asap.
I received an email which says I can either cancel through their website (not possible) or I can cancel my direct debit through my bank.
The website needs improving to make this a viable process.

We are sorry to hear you are looking to cancel. If you pay monthly you simply need to cancel the direct debit with your bank at least 4 working days before payment is due. Once your bank notify us of this, your account will begin to cancel down.

Good gym, some typical quirks.

Gym is clean and everything is laid out well. I’ve been only twice so far and one of the paper towel dispensers has been out of towels both times, and the free weights are disorganized by the time I get there at 10am. Most clients seem friendly, however there are a few who throw the weights around and make a lot of commotion, which is bad for the equipment and distracting for the other gym members. Tried to buy a padlock from the dispensing machine but it doesn’t take contactless payment despite having the reader.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.

Best Spin Classes

I absolutely love the classes. Spin is my favourite, great variation between all the trainers. Great level of intensity and fun. Impossible to pick a favourite - love the staff. This gym has become so key to the health of my body and mind but also my social life.

The staff at canary wharf PG are amazing

The staff at canary wharf pure gym are so helpful! Marina is amazing and her classes make you push yourself while having fun! Her classes have helped me stick to going to the gym!

Wesley & Sara are also very helpful and have great classes. I would recommend Pure gym canary wharf to my friends!

Im so glad the opening hours have gone back to 24hrs!!

The gym is an overall 7. Nice smell indoors, good quality equipment and availability. The interior space is okay-ish. Overall satisfactory experience I've had at the Pure Gym Canary Wharf. Thank you.

everything improved since last time I commented. Just the weights are often in disorder. In general the situation is much better. I am happy.

Good gym, but needs maintenance

The atmosphere is lovely, but quite a few of the machines are broken or unusable in the last couple of weeks. Also, opening hours have changed but there has been no change to the fee we are paying.

Value for money as its 24hr

Value for money as its 24hr. Downside is the toilets are always filthy and infested with flys! Also air conditioning could be better.

The showers are full of flys

The showers are full of flys, the Canary Wharf gym toilets smell very bad, I see the cleaner but can’t understand why the flys are everywhere, needed sorting urgently

It is alright because it is close.

It is alright and it is convenient that it was close, but just heard that it will not be a 24/7 Hour Gym anymore, which is awful. The male changing room could be better to be honest.

Dirty entrace to males showers

Dirty entrace to males showers! The floor leading to the showers in the mens changing rooms is dirty and muddy. It hasnt been cleaned since the showers were reopened on November 27th 2022. It is so unhygienic and I dont understand why it hasnt been mopped in over 2 months.

The gym has now reduced opening hours, so for those of us who liked an early morning workout on the weekends, this is now not possible. So disheartening what is happening with this gym.

Paying more for less???

Gym’s good and staff are sound but advertising it as 24 hours when it’s not anymore (with no real reason given) but it’s the same price is well out. It’s already more expensive than most London gyms and now it’s open less than them? wha?
