Anomalisa (spoilers)
I dont think this movie is technically considered a horror but
at the end when her voice turns into that same guy voice that everyone else had.. it tripped me THE FUCK out.
Like apparently it's supposed to just be a metaphor? But that's not how i experienced the movie..
Like first he has that dream that everyone is the same person. And it makes sense because they all have the same voice. Except for lisa right..
So its okay cool. But then shit slowly starts turning until her voice goes the same and it was like a fucking nightmare for me.
Like i know the experience it's emulating as a metaphor because I've actually had an experience like that with someone and it was horrifying. But like..imagining it in a scenraio where her voice also becomes the same voice that everyone else has was like too much for my brain to handle.
It was a very brief, but EXTREMELY uncomfortable feeling of horror that it gave me.
Interesting you felt that way, the stop motion was fantastic, but the whole thing was pretty one note story-wise: This guy sucks.
