Visconti’s is a treasure and the Folsom area is lucky to have them. With so many franchise based eateries around, it is a treat to have a family run restaurant succeed and best them all in terms of food served, service and affordability. On a...recent Saturday evening a large party of us “broke bread” and thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers and meals. All were served hot … no cold plates here. Hardly a word was spoken while eating, always a good sign that the food was good. Without a doubt, Visconti’s is your best bet for Italian food in the Sacramento area.More

We went for a birthday lunch for four. Food was delicious. Everybody loved their dishes..lobster ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, tortellini Alfredo and POLLO AL VESUVIO. One ordered their meal as a dinner and it came with a salad. The others ordered a salad to share....Salad dressing was a creams oil based and very good. Portions were generous. Deducted one star for birthday dessert, server put a candle in but charged for dessert.More

I am on an extended visit to Folsom Ca. and have had pizza at Chicago Fire and Skipolini’s and Visconti’s has been the best so far. Others in the group had Chicken Parmigiana and Fettuccini Alfredo with garlic bread and enjoyed it. Tiramisu was good...but I couldn’t believe they were out of Cannoli’s. What Italian restaurant runs out of Cannolis. That’s why the 4/5 stars. We will be back/do take out again.More

Extremely rude staff. Order placed for over $100 dinner for grandmas birthday tonight, paid & tipped in advance and went to pick it up. It wasn’t ready and after waiting they sent food out with the wrong person who ordered a single meal. Caught it...before they left the restaurant and the girl at the front didn’t apologize, and basically said “whatever” asked to speak to the manager & got a “he’s not here”. Been here many times over the years for family gatherings never experienced such rude staff before. It was jarring.More

We've been frequenting both Visconti's and Papa Gianni's for many years. I ordered a pizza today. The person who took the order seems to be in a rush and was quite rude. It felt as if you were ordering from a fast food joint. I...asked for a side of pizza sauce. She charged $4.25 for a side of MARINARA -!sauce (not what I wanted). When she told me about the price, she had already ran the credit card. She seemed not to care much when I told her the prices was excessive for a side of pizza sauce. I asked to speak to a manager to express my concern (I wanted a refund and have no need for marinara) and was told they don't have managers! Food is always delicious but service the last few times visited have be subpar at best. It's unfortunate that such an establishment has a person who seems to insensitive and hostile when it comes to interacting with customers right when you walk in. Lesson learned.More

When I walk in the door of Visconti's I smile; it's like a homecoming. It's busy, the staff is attentive and upbeat and occasionally other guests greet you as well. Often, the owner will stop by your table to check on you while his wife...keeps an eye on the kitchen. The food is excellent as is the wine list. Reservations are recommended. There is a joy that comes from feeling welcome, and when you combined that with great food and wine it's magic--That's Visconti's.More

Have been to eat at this Family style restaurant many times and generally service is good as is the food. Went a couple of weeks ago and service was beyond bad. Our server JEFF was so preoccupied with a group of people across from us...that he totally neglected us, appetizer came after entrees and there was no compensation for the fact that we had been sitting there for thirty minutes listening to the neighbors discourse on Fremont and the good old days etc. We have had this server in the past with no problem, but here was no excuse here as we were the only other people in the place. I should have written this 2 weeks ago but that does not change the fact that we were terribly disappointed and it may be a long time before we go back if ever. Too much competition out there for lousy service.More

Our family Christmas present . A wonderful tasty lunch. Servings are big, Garlic bread to die for (keep it coming) I ordered the small calamari and WOW it was really big! brought home half. I wanted to try their minestrone soup . Since Espanol Restaurant...closed I have not found a comparable minestrone soup. And today I still did NOT find a comparable minestrone soup. Actually their soup is very tasty but thin and watery and very little pieces of anything in the broth. It should be thick and chunky with lots of vegetables ,garbonzo beans, and some pasta. Maybe Visconti could do some research and get the recipe from the owners of the closed Espanol restaurant in east Sacramento. Everything but the minestrone was wonderful.More

What a wonderful, family owned restaurant! Food and service were amazing! The bruschetta and calamari appetizers were delicious. The calamari had the right spice to it. My pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was tasty, full of shrimp, calamari and mussels. And the garlic...bread was so good! For dessert we had the tiramisu- amazing! Good selection of wines and they also have a full bar. This is the place to go if you want delicious Italian food.More

Visconti’s is not just the best Italian food restaurant in Folsom, it is one of my very favorite restaurants period!! Consistency is probably the hardest thing to find in a restaurant. At Visconti’s you will find it in everything from the food and drinks to...the service!! Everything is perfect always and the experience is always wonderful! I don’t have a favorite dish here because everything I try is always so delicious. There isn’t anything you can go wrong with here!!More

Coming from the east coast, it’s not so easy to find a really good Italian restaurant elsewhere but Visconti’s was a big hit with all those in my party. Service was very good and prices comparable to other nice area restaurants. The food was excellent...and the portions were large, we all went home with food. House wine was very good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!More

Perfectly nice Italian restaurant. Pretty crowded on a Saturday night, you need a reservation. Good caesar salad ( an up charge from regular dinner salad). Nice selection of ( mostly) local wines at good prices. Good service. We all enjoyed our meals and would return.

This place serves mainly predictable cuisine. Take something tasteless, cover it in some sort of red sauce and bake a slice of processed cheese on to it. While that might be culinary excellence for the family that runs it, it hardly suffices any longer. Perhaps...the only thing more disappointing than the food is the service. We recently waited more than 45 minutes after our reservation time. They said that they were waiting for our table to clear and it would be just a minute longer. After40 minutes they were talking about either turning us away or perhaps setting up something temporary outside. Given the good choices locally, with more becoming available every day, why would anyone patronize this place.More

We were here on 1/13/19 for my son's birthday and it was a very disappointing experience. We ordered the following dishes Linguini & Clams, Linguini & Mussels, Spaghetti di Campagnia with shrimp. Of all three only the clams dish was edible. Luckily it is for...the birthday boy and that was the saving grace. My spaghetti di campagnia was absolutely horrible and had zero flavor. The dish has a lot of quantity but absolutely no taste. I am no expert but I think the proportions were off. For the amount of pasta, I don't think there is enough sauce to provide the taste. The shrimp are large but they looked frozen and uncooked. The minestrone soup is watery. I will be honest and give 5 stars to the way we were received and treated during the entire meal. It was nice to Mr. Visconti going around the tables and greeting his customers. We will never go back.More
