A month after killing, Travis Herbert arraigned for murder of Elwin Rudolph “Bobbo Youth” Lewis

By Aaron Humes: 22-year-old Travis Jamaal Herbert, a construction worker of Iguana Street Extension, was detained and charged over the weekend and arraigned on Monday for the March 22 murder of Elwin Lewis, known as “Bobbo Youth.”

Herbert and another unknown are accused of gunning down Lewis on Antelope Street Extension that Friday evening, which in combination with other incidents prompted a State of Emergency to be implemented ahead of the Easter holidays.

In court, no plea was taken from Herbert and due to the nature of the offense, he was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until July 5.

Lewis, of Plues Street, was riding his motorcycle from Elston Kerr Street towards Central American Boulevard when two male persons riding on a motorcycle came from behind him and fired several shots toward him.
