How and where to download Wii Games?
I homebrewed my Wii recently, but I'm unsure where to get Games. It is hard to find working sources, because many are down and on many websites you are not allowed to talk about/link them.
I am also unsure what pirated Wii Games, for installation/use on the Native Wii, are called. Whenever I find ROMS, they seem to be for Emulators. Am I misunderstanding what ROMs are? Are ROMS not both for Emulators AND the native Wii Console?
I would love if someone could clear this up for me, and additionally maybe DM me what sources are good to get the Wii Games?

Hi there! So this is what I do to download my Wii games so first I go to https://vimm.net/vault/Wii that’s where you download ur games when ur going to download them make sure you get them in Wbfs format once you download it you want to go to Wii backup manager if you don’t know the process with Wii backup manager search it up on YouTube and you’ll find it after you transfer the game to your drive with Wii backup manager it’s as easy as plugging in the drive to your Wii and just going to usbloader and you’ll see your game there

hi just tried this out but, the files are not in one folder will that be a problem? i tried to export with winar and got 2 files one being "Vimms lair" the other being the game name is this normal?

You’ll also want to get priiloader if you’re not from the US so you can turn the region lock off on the wii. This is necessary as all the wii games on vimms lair are the US version.
I followed the wii.guide Guide, which mentions this, so I already turned it off thankfully. Thanks for the tip!

Hey, sorry I don’t really use this account anymore. As Long As you follow the guide on wii.guide and use films vault to download games you can do it rather easily.
The site defaults to US, but you can change the region settings to show games from other regions
For anyone who still uses this subreddit. Is it easy to download and use Wiiflow? How hard is it to figure it out. Is it better to use wii flow or Wii backup manager?

Wii flow allows you to download the games from a laptop / pc and move it to a flash drive or sd card. Which can be read off the homebrew application. Allowing you to download Wii games off the internet and playing them without the disc
Im stuck here, i download the games as wbfs, run them through wii backup manager and put them on the usb but they still dont show up. the only one that worked was wii sports and i honestly forgot what i did there. help ???
i tried to get wii sports resort and it shows up bt when i open it it sends me back to the wii menu screen.

quick question, i download the games Im trynna get from vimm.net/vault, but what do i di once i download them? it shows this weird .7z format and idk how to get it to wbfs when thats the option i select when downloading
You're supposed to extract the .7z file. On Mac, use a software like The Unarchiver, and on Windows you can use 7-zip or WinRAR.

vimms lair has wbfs formatted wii games look it up i don't think reddit allowed direct links to piracy websites also use wii backup manager because if you already have an iso of the game you wanted you don't have to download a new one just convert it I'm pretty sure wii backup manager can do that but i did it a long time ago also it is helpful for splitting large game files like metroid prime trilogy in two parts to make it compatible

I think vimms lair also has iso GameCube games but I could be wrong it's easy to look up "[game name] game cube iso download"

Need some help here! So i have the wbfs games loaded with wii backup manager, the wii has no problem reading the USB, and they show up in gx USB loader, I can click on them and the cover appears, as I click start I get a black screen. I have an EU wii and am using US games and turned off the region block with priiloader ( I think ) . Any ideas as how I can try to fix it?
