The Academy Awards — the Oscars — revealed the 2023 nominees on Jan. 24. Mary Zophres from “Babylon,” Ruth Carter from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Catherine Martin from “Elvis,” Shirley Kurata from “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and Jenny Beavan from “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris” are vying for this year’s Best Costume Design award. The ceremony will take place on March 12 in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
