Sophomore: I really loved my experience at Chaffey college, it is a really good opportunity to explore. The professors are really fantastic and the campus itself is very nice. Chaffey college has some of the best student resources Ive ever heard, many of my peers even at private colleges were shocked to hear about the amenities and educational resources at Chaffey. Additionally, any support given on campus is very efficient. The IT department in particular moves very quickly. The one thing that I would like to see change is the difficulty in contacting counselors. Often there are no appointments available but walk-in services, while limited, are phenomenal and frequently available. Lastly, Chaffey college offers amazing opportunities for students to work on Campus in jobs relevant to their major, particularly for the social sciences. Senior: Personally, I'm loving being a student at AAU! I am a full time student taking classes entirely online, which has been a life saver for me. With my remote location and anxiety struggles, there's no way I would have been able to attend any school in person, and Academy of Art is one of the very few colleges that offer an art degree online. This alone was a huge selling point for me when deciding what I wanted to do with me future. I knew I needed an "in between" step from graduating highschool to entering into the industry, and taking classes here has accomplished that 100%--the classes are accessible for complete beginners in the field, and the pacing of each week is just enough to push you without breaking you. Alum: It is a great college. Amazing instructors. Fabulous staff. I loved that if you got stuck on an assignment the instructors gave you multiple ways to get a hold of them to ask any questions. I loved that fact that yes you had dead lines to turn in assignments but it was on your own pace. Sophomore: Community Christian college offers a variety of athletic programs. The school is a national junior college placed in division 1. Each team gets to travel to other states in order to help prepare each player for the next level. The exposure we get as athletes is unreal. The Professors at the school actually try and care for their students. They’re pretty generous when it comes to deadlines and offer the study hall service for all students if they need the help. The school does not have a campus yet basing by the fact that it is a new school. They don't have a variety of majors you can pick but after the 2 years of school, you may transfer to any other school to continue your education. The school can improve by expanding itself and building their own facilities in order to encourage more people to come to the school. Junior: Taking online courses was the best choice. All academic professors engage on a daily and ensure students that everything is on track through discussion posts and email in a professional way. If anything fails, their on-site campus is close by and you're able to work through your work at your speed without having the choice of getting assignments breathing down on your neck. Each course module is six weeks and you learn so much that extension of the courses can be longer for undergraduate programs. Financial-wise, they allow transfer credit to the fullness especially if was a previous graduate from any San Joaquin Valley College, California and they allow payments after 6 months of graduation which is a plus.
