Poirot (also known as Agatha Christie's Poirot) is a British mystery drama television programme that aired from 8 January 1989 to 13 November 2013. David Suchet stars as the eponymous detective, Agatha Christie's fictional Hercule Poirot.

The programme ran for 13 series and 70 episodes in total; each episode was adapted from a novel or short story by Christie that featured Poirot, and consequently in each episode Poirot is both the main detective in charge of the investigation of a crime (usually murder) and the protagonist who is at the centre of most of the episode's action. At the programme's conclusion, which finished with "Curtain: Poirot's Last Case" (based on the 1975 novel Curtain, the final Poirot novel), every major literary work by Christie that featured the title character had been adapted.

Poirot was played by different actors, but David Suchet was the best actor who brought the character alive. Even Belgians love him!

Subject: Good Ol' Agatha Christie!

Almost all of Agatha Christie's novels (many made into movies/television shows) are great. David Suchet is to me the epitome of Hercule Poirot. He emulates him perfectly. Enjoy!

I have not watched all of them. The subtitles for "08.02 Murder in Mesopotamia" are completely wrong. They start 52 seconds too late! If you are using VLC to watch, you can adjust by going to Tools>Track Sync>Sync Tab
In the box labeled Subtitle Track Sync: enter "-52.00" and then click the refresh circle-arrow ↻
The system will take a minute to adjust the subtitle track and then can be played normally.

this show is very good and well formatted. the stories are a bit weak. it's hard for me to believe that AC wrote murder on the orient express, since that story was genius. and for me Albert Finney is the true Poirot.

It feels that Hercules Poirot is David Suchet and not otherwise . The BG music is eternal , the grace & style of all the characters and the screenplay . I wish my last minute of death will witness the end titles of any play and hear this eternal music in my last breadth ! David Suchet - you are more iconic than James Bond. I take a bow for the internet archive managers to make these epic movies available for diehard fans like me.
