TAMPA, FL (BLOOM) — North America’s largest furniture store brand, Ashley, is expanding its social impact through the Beyond Home Promise initiative. This year, the company aims to deepen its commitment to enriching lives by supporting military personnel, advancing medical research, promoting environmental sustainability, and uplifting communities.

The 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, just released by Ashley, offers a transparent look into how the company is fulfilling its mission to “inspire the love of home and enrich the lives of those around us.”

Support for Military and First Responders In a notable gesture of appreciation, Ashley has donated 2,533 Tempur-Pedic® mattresses to America’s Special Operations Forces through Operation Shut Eye. This initiative, in partnership with Tempur-Sealy International and Darkhorse Benefits, ensures that warriors receive the rest they deserve.

Advancements in Medical Research Ashley continues its strong support for medical innovation with significant contributions to HeartWorks and the Wanek Family Project for Type 1 Diabetes at City of Hope. The latter has produced 36 discoveries and initiated 8 clinical trials, aiming to cure Type 1 Diabetes.

Environmental Stewardship In the environmental realm, Ashley recycled tens of thousands of tons of materials in 2023, including wood, cardboard, and plastics, highlighting its commitment to waste reduction and sustainability.

Community Engagement Beyond environmental and health efforts, Ashley donated over $229,000 worth of furniture to various community organizations and provided 14,426 beds to children through the Hope to Dream initiative.

Todd Wanek, President and CEO of Ashley Furniture Industries, emphasized the company’s dedication: “Our commitment isn’t just a box to check, but a fundamental part of who we are as a company. We’re proud of our dedication in 2023, and we’re excited to do even more in 2024 and beyond.”

As Ashley continues to expand its initiatives, it plans to highlight different organizations and causes each month in 2025, including American Heart Month and Earth Day, to increase awareness and impact.
