I have recently started to notice that people have been saying "William Appleton" instead of "William Afton". Is this a meme, a book thing, or is it just stupidity from the community. Please tell me what the Hell is going on, I am mote lost than a blind man during a shooting

So heres the the thing,
Its not a joke or a meme. Henry, Williams his best friend krpt getting his name wrong in interviews, on plates and in the news even though they had been friends for years. Eventually, everybody started calling him William Afton and he was to bussy dealing with the children that he never botherd to correct them, this soon made him a bit crazy but he was laughed over by people thinking the name "Appleton" was a joke.
So no, this is not a joke because it's his name.
