Marc Danon is an entertainment professional with 20 years of industry experience in content acquisitions and development.  After eight years at Lionsgate, Marc currently serves as President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Broad Green Pictures and is responsible for leading the studio’s efforts in buying wide and platform release films.  In addition to spearheading BGP’s festival and market presence, Danon launched several strategic partnerships including a global distribution syndicate with Buena Vista International and Sierra-Affinity for a slate of wide-release genre films. He also created a co-financing partnership with The Fyzz Facility for developing and distributing content with a platform agnostic release approach.

Prior to joining Broad Green, Danon held the position of Senior Vice President, Acquisitions and Business Development for Lionsgate. During his tenure, he worked on the acquisition of theatrical feature films such as John Wick, Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain, Dear White People, A Most Wanted Man, America, Everything Must Go, and The Skeleton Twins. Additionally, he acquired content for digital release, SVOD, and television and served instrumental in launching and programming Lionsgate’s day-and-date theatrical with VOD platform. Danon orchestrated the acquisition of Codeblack Entertainment; introducing a dedicated urban genre label for Lionsgate and oversaw all acquisition and business development activity for the entity.  He also managed Lionsgate’s third-party partnerships with a roster that touts MARVEL, Saban Brands, WWE, Comcast, ABC, NBC, A24, ITV and Skydance Television resulting in annual revenue of between $300M-$400M for seven straight years.

Danon began his career at Artisan Entertainment and has since assumed roles focused on strategic expansion and content procurement, with tenures at Catch 23 and Netflix. He holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
