Marc-Antoine Dequoy named East Division’s Most Outstanding Canadian

Montreal, November 1, 2023 – The Canadian Football League announced its finalists for the year-end Most Outstanding Player Awards on Wednesday, and safety Marc-Antoine Dequoy was voted the East Division’s Most Oustanding Canadian.

Dequoy finished second in the CFL with five interceptions, including two that he returned for touchdowns. The former Université de Montréal Carabin earned 57 defensive tackles and five more on special teams. His agility allowed him to force three fumbles and to recover two. He also added six knock downs. The 29-year-old Quebec native was named the Alouettes Most Outstanding Canadian last week.

The winners will be unveiled at the 2023 CFL Awards Thursday, November 16 at Avalon Theatre at Fallsview Casino & Resort à Niagara Falls.

The award recipients were selected by voting members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) and CFL head coaches.
