Portishead – Roseland NYC Live

Great pressing and happy to be breaking this one out for a first listen on a Friday night. Absolutely beautiful live album. It's not as raw as other live recordings. You'd mistake this for being studio recorded. Perhaps that's just how good they are?
I'm into the packaging and live the inclusion of the poster and sticker. However, the front cover photo and poster image is very pixelated. Makes me wonder if they never got a higher res pic? or is this just art? 5/5 from me.

10/10, love this new version that finally has the full concert.

Sounds fantastic! Too bad mine came with a seam split. No replacements available.

Great expanded and beautiful reissue, and indeed excellent pressing. Very happy with it.
But before selling your original vinyl copy, listen to 'Sour Times’ – live at Warfield, SF, April 1998' and compare it. It is far more interesting than the clean - almost studiolike - Roseland NYC version. I understand why its coming out as a separate 10" (together with ‘Roads’ – live at Quart Festival, Kristiansand July 1998), you don't want to miss that one I would think.

The pressing quality is really excellent. I wish all pressing were this good.

Having owned the MOV pressing, I'm happy to say that the 25th anniversary remaster is worth the upgrade. There seems to be better space and separation of the instruments. The strings have more presence, the guitar more bite and thankfully the audience noise has been turned down somewhat (esp on Roads). Beth's voice is, of course, glorious as ever. The vinyl is a beautiful deep red that is pretty stunning. The only downside is the odd choice of pixelated cover art, but it's a small issue.

The records themselves are amazing, they have a beautiful rose red color and sound immaculate. The jacket is a bit lackluster though. The front cover and gatefold picture are lower quality than the preview images suggested, and the jacket sleeves are tight, making it hard to take the records out and put them back in. 5/5 for the records, 3/5 for the jacket

The red color is very pretty and the audio is fantastic.
If it didn't come with the poster, it would be the same thing. The image is terrible and the cover too.

Is there Roads version with claping hands? Why they did not put this from Roseland concert? What the hell :)

Also .. I kind of prefer the up tempo and lounge version of Sour Times. Roads is also an improvement over the prior release. This may not fit everyone’s tastes, but you can always listen to the original if you want.
