Village Christian School Reviews
Rating 4.47 out of 5 58 reviews
I have enjoyed my time at this school! The school spirit is amazing and the faculty and clubs do a great job getting kids involved and holding special events like pep rallies and dances. The academics have been challenging; I take AP classes and the teachers have challenged and prepared me for the exams. The one area that needs improvement is the foreign language department. There are only 3 options for a foreign language and the teachers do not tend to stay year to year which makes it hard to keep the momentum going. Overall I have been happy here and have felt connected with my school. I have built relationships with my peers and my teachers along the way.
Village Christian is a school that greatly embodies the Christian-like values within the education system. Whether it be through the arts or through core curriculum classes, Christ is still prevalent within each class and it helps provide a positive class environment for each student. Personally, as a sophomore, I've enjoyed the diverse inclusion of Honors and AP classes that allow me to pursue my interested careers and subjects that just interest me for fun.
My overall experience with village christian as an African American student have been positive in the aspect of education and preparation for college. The teachers alongside the staff do their best to educate and mentor students as well as form positive relationships with their students. The only criticism I would have to offer it that the teaching staff is not very diversified leading students of color with less opportunity for guidance from someone they relate to.
