Adolph I of Nassau-Wiesbaden-Idstein (German: Adolf I. von Nassau-Wiesbaden-Idstein) (1353 - 6 February 1390) was the Archbishop of Mainz from 1381 until 1390, and the Bishop of Speyer from 1371 until 1388.
Adolph was a son of Count Adolph I of Nassau-Wiesbaden-Idstein. Adolph studied law in Bologna and Padua. In 1371 he became the Bishop of Speyer, a position he held until 1388. In 1373 a portion of the cathedral chapter elected Adolph, instead of Louis of Meissen, as Archbishop, and a war between the two candidates began. In 1381 Louis abdicated and Adolph received confirmation from the Pope and King. As Archbishop Adolph worked to weaken the power of the king and the cities, and his attempts to expand into Hesse resulted in several violent feuds. On 24 January 1390 he donated the University of Erfurt, and he died later that year.
