Though I have not begun classes yet in my program, I am excited to begin and have felt nothing but support from the faculty and staff at UC Berkeley.
Very good and this program values as it has all things that students want. The campus is beautiful and the staff member are friendly. Academic pressure should be high, but most of students can conquer. I have not started yet, but I am expecting that this school will give me fantastic study experiences.
The academic program is well-structured and intellectually stimulating. The faculty and staff are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and dedicated to their profession. The institution provides ample resources to facilitate student success.
My experience at Berkeley was profoundly positive. Each school possesses its own distinctive personality, and Berkeley stands out for its constant engagement with societal issues. The university maintains a steadfast connection with the broader community, addressing pressing social concerns head-on. Students at Berkeley are remarkably passionate about effecting meaningful change in the world. Whether through activism, research, or community involvement, there's an undeniable drive among students to make a difference. Berkeley fosters an environment where such aspirations are nurtured and supported, instilling in its students a sense of purpose and a commitment to contributing positively to society.
Courses are great. The instructors are very knowledgeable within their profession. To begin, the selection id the courses were straight forward. I had to move to another section because there was not enough students. It didn’t disrupt my scheduling since I also work full time. Overall, highly recommend.
Good experience, but it was still expensive. I wish that tuition was less, but in-state was much more reasonable than out-of-state.
I loved UC Berkeley. The courses were difficult, and sometimes professors would assign homework with material not covered in class, but for the most part the academics were not too troublesome. As with any school, there were hard classes that required courage and strength to get through. However, it was very rewarding and Berkeley connected me to many job opportunities. The civil engineering program specifically had many intelligent, supportive professors who weee always open for office hours and grad student instructors who were incredibly knowledgeable about the material.
I earned a PBACC Certificate in counseling and psychology in preparation to apply to various graduate programs. It wad a great experience. Flexible with quality professors and courses. It really helped me crystallize my interests and gave me a solid psychology foundation.
The processes are well-explained and it is quite easy to get information on a particular circumstance. There are multiple resources that offer help and guidance. Moreover, my experience has been that email responses are very effective. Staff are quite knowledgeable and approachable.
Many factors for the university experience depend on the student. So far, I have liked that my classes are requiring me to challenge the norms and interesting projects that influence my learning and growth in the topics that interest me.
The worst part of my experience which is beyond my control is a lack of collaboration and group study spaces. This can hinder students' ability to work together, share ideas, and learn from one another.

Best parts: Caring and accommodating professors that were clearly invested in student learning and passionate about teaching as well as their research. Berkeley graduate students are also super invested in making the campus better for themselves and for others around them and are generally pretty supportive despite rumors about it being really cutthroat (this might be true for undergraduate, I'm not too sure). In general students and faculty tend to be comfortable addressing problems that they see in the department which is reassuring to see.
Worst parts: The physical infrastructure itself. Berkeley is an old campus, so some of the buildings don't have the best functionality or look a bit shabby, but this changes based on which program/area you are in.

It is a high demand, high load of work program. Clinical training and hands since day one, the academic body is build of brilliant optometrist and researchers.

It has been organized. I wish there was a better cost of living and more personal face time with staff.
I start at Berkeley Law next Monday! That said, I can not speak to my academic experience thoroughly. I can, however, state that each professor has already provided the syllabi and helpful information for us to get started.
