Kirk Cameron triggers firestorm of criticism for conservative marriage stance

Actor Kirk Cameron, who is a regular visitor and supporter of Liberty University, is again stirring controversy over his conservative views on marriage.

In an interview with the Christian Post, the outspoken evangelical said,

"wives are to honor and respect and follow their husband's lead, not to tell their husband how he ought to be a better husband. When each person gets their part right, regardless of how their spouse is treating them, there is hope for real change in their marriage."

Cameron is currently on a national speaking tour focused on Christian marriage called "Love Worth Fighting For."

The tour features teaching by Cameron and music by Warren Barfield meant to strengthen and encourage godly marriages.

Cameron is most known for his roles in Left Behind: The Movie, Growing Pains, Full House, and Fireproof.

The 45-year-old has been married to Chelsea Noble for 25 years.
