The band released its first single, “Long Time Gone,” in 1975, followed by their self-titled debut album in 1977. Don Barnes

Don Barnes is a founding member of 38 Special, having started with the band when it formed in 1974. He is known for his roles as lead vocalist and guitarist, and he also plays harmonica, mandolin, and keyboards.
