I always heard about the Santa Ynez Valley. Although I visited Napa, Sonoma, and Temecula, this area was never a place which I was able to see. This vineyard was the first winery that I visited, and the grounds were spectacular. The server was friendly and informative. I tried many different varietals of wine. I am in the wine business and I was treated amazingly well. There was no vineyard tour, but I walked through various lines of grapes. Also, the grounds were enormous and scenic with huge mountains in the distance.

I have been a club member since 2013. Fess Parker is by far my most favorite winery. Each time we go up to Los Olivos we have to make Fess our first taste! The winery itself is so beautiful and peaceful. The Pinots… i love. We just had a bottle of 2019 Pommard Clone that came in my shipment and will have to buy another bottle! This Pinot was so delicious! Put it in a decanter! Wow!! I really can’t say enough about this winery. My mom and several other friends are members too!

We loved visiting this winery with three generations of our family. We three wineries over the course of the day and Fess Parker was our favorite! Adrianna was a fantastic host, loved her descriptions of the wine. We left with a bottle of Big Easy and were happy campers!

Water pans full of water outside the door for thirsty pets. Lovely grounds. Good selection of wines, good gifts and friendly personnel.

Classic SYV wine tasting. Lovely location, beautiful grounds and delicious variety of wines. A hot day but sitting in the cool patio nicely spaced groups on a weekday. We avoided the noise of weekend crowds and picnickers. A most enjoyable way to taste wines from the area.

So nice. The grounds are stunning, the servers were so kind and the wine was very good, especially The Big Easy. It's nice drinking wine made by Daniel Boone's family.

This was part of a winery tour from our cruise ship in Santa Barbara. They offer some very nice wines at reasonable prices. It is a small ‘boutique’ style place.

Wanted to visit one of the scenes from the movie "Sideways". This bar was the wine tasting where Miles drank the entire "spit jar". The Fess Parkeer winery was renamed for the movie. The wine and ambience are great nd you are in the heart of central California wine country. Great friendly staff.

The 4 of us selected the new educational tour with a seated tasting in the newly refurbished VIP Barrel Room and it was outstanding. We started with their sparkling, and continued on to whites, then reds. We loved the wines so much, both couples joined the wine club. The dry riesling was also great. We cant wait to get our wines and we will visit again in the future.

Yes, it's great for families, and yes, I believe outside food is allowed, but not outside wine. :) Best to check directly with the winery for details. Have a great time!

If you only had time for one winery would it be Fess Parker or Firestone?

Wish we could give you some stellar advice, but we have not been to Firestone, so.....However, we have been Fess Parker and would highly recommend it. Try to make it around lunch and bring a bite to eat. The grounds are gorgeous, the wine very nice and the staff very friendly. I don't think you will be disappointed. Miki "This is the Life" Winer

I concur with cr8it. We stayed across the street from the lobby and faced the street. Activity is low and the room was quiet. The rooms are excellent as is the service and food. We were in the building with the pool and spent some time there having snacks and wine. The Inn is a great visit as is the winery.
